I would concentrate more on a balance of getting Hart more starts of the two but maintain enough rest, not worrying one iota about Home vs Away. He has got this and in general, the team needs to continue it’s improved play on the road especially special teams. Hart might even end up with 5 or 6 road starts. - NC Flyers Fan

Hello Bill,
I hope you see this. Since you are associated with the team and the alumni association, you may be able to start a movement.
As mentioned from time to time by some of us old-timers, some time after 2000, some fans began doing the "Let's Go Flyers" chant to the "Let's Go Rangers" cadence.
For some reason, this really bothers me and I cringe and get mildly angry when I hear it. It is particularly annoying to hear since the organist and the prerecorded stuff try to get things going using the correct cadence.
My suggestion is to have several generations of the alumni put together an "instructional" video of how to do the chant. It could be interspersed with clips from games where the chant was really loud (Game 6 of the 87 or 74 finals come to mind) and old Biff from BTF II telling young Biff, "You sound stupid when you say it wrong."
I had to get that off my chest. Particularly before a game against the Rangers.
BTW, does the "Die Ranger, Die" guy in the upper bowl still go to games? - GeorgeBailey
I know how you feel about the cadence. It bothers me too. But in talking to people about it and demonstrating the difference, a lot of people DON'T HEAR THE DIFFERENCE! It boggles my mind, but they just don't get it. And so I do it the "right" way and figure everyone around me can think I'm stupid.

I'll be honest, I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Any video of both so I can hear the difference?
I know thats what the numbers say Im saying its all bull. Look at the Rangers for instance. They got same amount of games played as CAR and only 2 points back yet theres a 30% difference in their chances. Rangers have a better chance to make it than the Canes do IMO.

Canes have a rough schedule. They play the Pens 4 times in March. 13 of 20 games are against current playoff teams. 9 home 11 away.
Rangers also have a tough schedule. They play the Flyers 3 times. 14 games against current playoff teams. 9 home 11 away. They do not play the Canes H2H.
I think CBJ drops out and the Panthers steal the last wildcard.

No way. Its gonna be two Metro teams in WC. Only way FLA gets in is if they knock TOR out

You might be right. CBJ is pretty much done due to the injuries. Carolina failed to get a goalie and it is costing them right now. The Rangers are a nice team but I do not think they have enough to make the playoffs. Panthers have an easier schedule.
Canes are the best team of the group but the goaltending is killing them right now.

I heard yesterday that CBJ has 8 or 9 players active right now with less than 70 games NHL experience. Ouch. Talk about having your depth tested.

Rangers are hot right now which is exactly what happened with CBJ last season. FLA has easier schedule but they have been failing to win games recently. Bobrovsky has been awful. Both FLA and TOR dont seem strong enough to get into a WC spot IMO. Canes should be able to make due with their D.
Absolutely. He is slated to be a goalie of the Flyers future not a home ice warier - missingmike
For whatever reason, Hart and the team has not looked good at away games. I think it more of a statistical fluke or laziness for much of it. The team will have its bad games. But, Why fight what’s been working? Hart will get his away starts. I’d play Hart at home, except back to back home starts. I give him a break on the away starts, but give him a few away starts not the majority. The team and he’ll come around.
Not bad at all and hard to argue it as one of the best..
I really like the Alice In Chains Unplugged performance. Sure their were mistakes but Layne Staley was literally a few weeks away from death so the setting and sort of somber tone with all the candles was sadly appropriate. Still watching them open with Nutshell always gets my attention then when Layne takes off his sunglasses it's almost like you are watching a specter sing which is tough to do when you know what is inevitable , fast approaching end was.
Just because I need something to listen before working out....
This is one of the best heavy metal songs ever by any band from any era IMO. In translates better on the album I think with some of mixing tricks they used but live ..this version...the silence leading into the huge riff bring it all back around the 6 minute mark..(frank) YAH.

it's so NOT THAT DIFFERENT and it's SO WEIRD you guys are bothered by this. i legit know i've been yelled at by one of you at one of the games. take your frustration energy and turn it into getting other people loud with you.

Its an identity. The way its done now is the Ranger's cadence

I understand your point, but I disagree with it. I believe you are correct, and the team's road record is a function of the entire team, therefore, shielding Hart not only will not solve the problem, but also will continue rising a psychological barrier for him.
