Its an identity. The way its done now is the Ranger's cadence - KINGKENZO
how can your identity be something 60% of your fans don't know about and 25% of them CAN'T EVEN PHYSICALLY HEAR???
come on.
Broadstreet Bullies...i'll give you that old timey thing as an identity.
you know what's NOT an identity anymore? being an intimidating fan base. a bunch of boomers wearing signed Peter Zezel sweaters (god dammit im jealous) giving people poop for cheering on the flyers for something like this is really dumb |

Such a Millennial thing to not know the difference between a Boomer and a Gen-xer
The Boomers were our parents. The Gen-xers are the ones who grew up on those mid-80s Flyers teams. |

I just want to know why people still do the "WOOO!" when the Flyers players themselves (at least Voracek, publicly) say it distracts them. |

We definitely turn on each other. One small disagreement and it gets personal real quick. |

I'm at work, so no access to links. But:
what is now

Yeah, thanks but I’m afraid I’m going to need an audio/video example. Having never been there, I don’t have a side but I’d like to understand the issue.
If there truly is very little difference, it doesn’t seem like too much to ask the younger crowd to learn the old way...but it doesn’t sound like any effort has went into crowd education.

I'm of the younger generation (but know the "older" way) but I can't imagine people actually get legit mad about this. Are you (not you specifically) going to criticize the way people clap and cheer a goal, as well? If this is something that seriously angers you, which syllables are stressed when cheering for your team, you have bigger issues to deal with. |

People get mad at anything.
At work we literally get hate mail including threats when the color of something in game changes. |

Maybe the core of the issue is he hates the Rangers and it now sounds too much like their chant...
Funny and related to all of this, I remember the "old" way going to games in the Spectrum and I went to a game with my dad and brother-in-law when I was home on leave over Thanksgiving a couple of years back and did the cheer the "old" way and looked around and thought I forgot how to do it..LoL...didn't think twice about it until today |

Not sure why one would be resistant to upholding tradition and distinguishing yourself from the generic Ranger's chant |

Bro check eBay! I got one and a Forseberg last year. Both were under $25. I’ve been dying to get a Luke Richardson one. Same last name as me and also my number (22) |

Again, who gives a flying (frank) how it sounds? As long as they're not cheering for the Rangers, I'm happy they're engaged instead of corporate scum not paying attention.
Full disclosure: I was given free tickets in the 8th row by corporate scum . |

They looked pretty badass all covered in mud, but I'm not sure the actual show was that remarkable by NIN standards. Their early PHM tour shows were bonkers. |
