how can your identity be something 60% of your fans don't know about and 25% of them CAN'T EVEN PHYSICALLY HEAR???
come on.
Broadstreet Bullies...i'll give you that old timey thing as an identity.
you know what's NOT an identity anymore? being an intimidating fan base. a bunch of boomers wearing signed Peter Zezel sweaters (god dammit im jealous) giving people poop for cheering on the flyers for something like this is really dumb - Wingdestroyer
Before the lockout it was the only way it was done. The turnover after the layoff killed it. It used to be 100% of us would have been annoyed at the .0001 guy.

I just want to know why people still do the "WOOO!" when the Flyers players themselves (at least Voracek, publicly) say it distracts them. - jmatchett383
They are the wrestling fans who think what the Flyers really need is a big goon at the end of the bench. (Had one of those idiots sitting behind me the other night.)

Yeah, thanks but Iām afraid Iām going to need an audio/video example. Having never been there, I donāt have a side but Iād like to understand the issue.
If there truly is very little difference, it doesnāt seem like too much to ask the younger crowd to learn the old way...but it doesnāt sound like any effort has went into crowd education. - NC Flyers Fan
as the original poster said, every recorded chant and cadence from the Flyers is the original. So it is a matter of rhythm or tone deafness. Or pure cussedness, of which we're being accused but it sure seems to prevail in the resistant as well.
I understand your point, but I disagree with it. I believe you are correct, and the team's road record is a function of the entire team, therefore, shielding Hart not only will not solve the problem, but also will continue rising a psychological barrier for him. - missingmike
I see your point too. But, I think Hart is stronger mentally than to let āpsychological barrierā bother him. Itās like a forward going through a non-scoring period. Heāll snap out of it. I just wouldnāt force it. Like Play him a games that are close to home; devs rags. I think heās already been looking better on the road. Didnāt he won the last two. If you only look at the stats, his first few real bad games skewed the numbers for the rest of the season.

FWIW the āorganā does it correctly!

It changed when they left the Spectrum. Corporate non fans (frank)ed it up

This is correct, disregard my earlier post. I miss the old one.
Not saying his road numbers could t be better or anything. But of those losses werenāt a couple early in the season when the team was just horrendous with lost coverages and just plain let downs. Thatās what I remember anyway. The kid is mature for his age. Since most would already consider him our number one (I do anyway) I say play him as they were. Always valuable experience.
Same with farabee. He needs to play. Doesnāt necessarily means at the nhl. Late to the discussion on this one but the kid does a lot of things right. There are areas to improve of course. And he will be back up at some point this year. But getting some extra minutes, finding that scoring touch, weight management and confidence. The little trip down will be fine.

Re: buying vintage jerseys
Also check Etsy. I scored an orange Lindros Jersey with the C for 40 bucks. Got a road white Renberg one on eBay for for about the same. Those were my best two finds. Still want to grab LeClair and Desjardins ones.
That said I couldnāt even tell you that last time I wore a hockey jersey lol

I got an Eric Lindros jersey one for Christmas about 25 years ago. I wore it once. Not a big jersey guy.
