Well we traded the better version of sheary for the actual sheary. WTF does Marleau do in the bottom six? The only positive about the deadline is Simon’s teeth are no longer clamped tightly to Sids jock. Besides that thePens don’t stack up to the Islanders or the caps. Especially the caps.

Speaking of College D FA's...

Rutherford can say with certainty, there's nobody to block you in our system. Basically POJ and dust.

Especially considering the caps picked up Sprong.

Anytime you can get someone with the ceiling of Danny Dekeyser you have to do it.

Pens dont even have players that play big. Total one dimensional team. Play small and if it hurts just lay down and die. That’s what going all in on Dominick Simon gets you. New coach is needed. New mindset. Disney on ice doesn’t work when other teams still play real hockey. That said I still root for them and hope they win.

I dont agree and Ive always taken you for the type that knows that its not the size of the dog in a fight...

Plus did you watch Pens and Caps the weekend?...they were getting checked and cheap shots and still outworked and outplayed them...

Danny Dekeyser is Bobby Orr compared to Niclas Almari

Who plays big? Tanev tries to hit but he hits like a cream puff. Rust is going to give it his all but he’s not sticking up for anybody, Hornqvist should be a leader but let’s Mccan fight his battles. Rikola actually has a little edge but doubt he’s playing unless injuries.

I edited my comment and bolded what I initially meant to haha.

Rikky does have a little mean streak and its one of the many reasons he should be in the lineup every night right now.

Both Lefties though. I would love for one to take JJ's spot next season, but I think we all know it won't happen.
- burgh4life87

The hope there is POJ. He's getting top pair minutes in WBS and he's a guy they really like so I could realistically see a similar scenario to Gudbranson and Marino playing out.

I don't think Almari even gets mentioned if our system wasn't so thin. You were right earlier, there's nothing other than POJ on defense, not even a fringe long shot type.

You make it through the first round of the playoffs? I lost by like 20. (frank)ing goalies shat the bed.

That's good to know. I have literally heard nothing about his play this season. I know he was injured and was slow to catch back up but that's it.

He actually had mono, not injured. That really slows you down.

I think we're all in disbelief that this disaster could go on this long without HCMS attempting something else.

It seems like piling on JJ, but it's really just all of us confirming that what we witnessed has actually happened.

We know he's bad and should not be in this position.

- Thorny87

Just think, Ian Cole, 2-time Cup Champion, is playing elsewhere for just $1M more because, apparently, Sully didn't like him talking to the press or something. But JJ gets first pairing no matter how bad he plays.

Sully is a great coach in some respects, but in this case he is an objectively terrible coach.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game. I have to say the comments have been especially amusing.

The Jack Johnson hysteria, Connor Sheary falling down every other shift, Evgeni Malkin no look passes. Dominic Simon going 0-4 in shots, then someone saying they wish he wouldn't shoot. I have to say I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. The only thing missing was the Letang turnovers and 'four goal' (insert favorite goalie here).

Unfortunately we only have two more months of this entertainment.

While no college UFA has ever lit up the NHL, I do believe that some have turned into decent players. Justin Schultz was one and ZAR has done decent.

I'm wondering if he knew right away or if it took a while to diagnose. Might explain his poor / lethargic play recently.
