The truth hurts but we're not in the feelings business. It would be perfect if Hank announced he was retiring at years end and got in 1 final MSG game at the end & got a proper send off but that won't happen even if he announced he would hang em up if (and I'm pretty confidant we will be) we're fighting for the playoffs or even better positioning. Georgi should play basically every game until Igor is fit to go, I do think one of the few games Hank should start would be tomorrow night in Philthy.

Big "If" here...but if Hank decided to retire at years end I would hope that the team would allow him to play the home opener next year. Place would be going crazy and the game would be trivial to an extent. What would that mean cap wise?
They could blow the horn at the 10 minute mark (30 Min mark) of the second period and we could have a goalie change in which Hank gets replaced by shesty. Then gets announce as the Number 1 star like so many times in his career. He would be cheered for a long time.

He will get his night at the Garden with pomp in circumstance the next season after he retires. Not all greats, in fact most don't get a perfect send off as a active player. Messeir kind of did, obviously Gretz did, Leetch not so much.

I wonder if Tom Brady questioning his return to the Pats has any factor in Hank's decision. I'm sure the answer is "No", but seeing an all time great like TB12 make that decision has to make him think a little...

We're biased and not sure how he feels about this but it would be awful to see him in a Coyote or Nasville jersey for 1 or maybe 2 mediocre seasons, he's 38 now, its time. But does HE feel that way

Totally agree. I ultimately want what's best for the team. Hank, as great as he is, is no longer best for the team.
But man, would I love for him to have a resurgence during the Shesty absence.

Only way that happens is if Georgi goes down now. Would be a perfect ending for him here, puts the team on his back one last time and gets us into the playoffs, maybe even shock the world and win a round...Hollywood ending but not likely

Friend of a friend of mine back in the 90s was a big hippie and wore sandals all year long, no joke even in snow! Summertime he was barefoot and had black feet and he wasn't black btw

We had a weird kid in high school who was overweight and wore shorts year-round. He ended up going to the same college and I'd see him walking all over campus in the middle of upstate NY winter wearing shorts too. Never really figured that one out

I'll drive barefoot if I'm wearing sandals. Too risky that they get caught on something - eichiefs9
My barefoot driving is mainly on long drives. If I'm going to do a multiple hour stint in the summer, you better believe them puppies are breathing at some point.

Yea I knew those weirdo's too around Babylon. Lot of surf shack hippies in Babylon Village, don't know why but there were so many in the 90s. And how about the opposite? Guys wearing jeans and hoodies in summer.
