That was the most PATHETIC offside missed call I've ever seen.

The future of this whole thing is going to have to start with an overseeing ref who turns on the light. There's no point in having a play continue when it was an offside entry. Get rid of the offside challenge, just have someone review the zone entries off-rink and turn on a light if the active play is off-side. Blow it dead.

I hate the whole cheering for a goal only to have it called back on a technicality.

Probably should take one referee off the ice and put him upstairs in front of a TV. One referee, two linesmen and one video referee upstairs who can communicate with the referee and tell him what he sees.

That is surprising lol. Most players are usually a bit rusty or slightly out of game shape and take awhile to get back to normal. He's been solid though and I've noticed lots of great plays by him tonight.

I'd agree with that. You take the play that just happened as an example. It's 2 feet offside and probably 3 seconds offside, too. It ends up in an icing, which is no longer something you can challenge. A play like that should just die right away.

With the quality of the cameras and ability to instantly communicate, they could correct the simplest mistakes within seconds. Show a replay on the big screen and the crowd can see what happened. Everybody wins.

Leafs are a good team. They could really use a gritty but talented 3rd line C that plays on the edge... I realize that’s almost impossible to find on a value contract though.
