It's kind of funny he gives a list of teams he wants, but they all have no interest.

I strongly feel he won't get offered a deal by anyone next year, unless it's a Spezza type deal.

I don't think playing for Montreal is viewed as a problem in a potential trade.

But it's rarely their first choice.

He has. And Thornton’s size when the PK turns it around and rushes it back could be useful, especially along the boards

Tbh if I’m picking one guy on the Leafs I want carrying into the zone on the PP it’s Spezza. All day.

They do that massive drop back pass to him where Spezza picks up speed and he gets a clean zone entry 8/10 times. And it’s consistent.

MTL and EDM both had 4 I think.

Toronto was the only Canadian team without more than 1 choice. Kind of sad all these players want to play in the America’s.

One Agent did say MTL has the worst taxes and they aren’t exactly easy to work around like they are in other tax heavy cities.

I'll preface this by saying that this is not a leading question. Have you watched any San Jose games this year? I've seen maybe three . . maybe even only two - one was including the game against Toronto where we dominated them and in another I recall SJ looking pretty weak as well. In the game or two I've seen, I noticed that he was basically waiting for other guys to do the work for him. On the PP he is still a great passer and he's smart. For the 11 power plays we get all year, it feels like he'd be a liability more often than not on the Leafs.

But he could hang around and beat up Kadri when he comes to town.
