It's hard to tell what would be better for him at this point. I'd prefer that he fights for a playoff spot in Laval than play in that Habs cluster(frank). - BashCH
agreed, unless they finally let go of those ridiculously small playoff chances and somehow find a positive vibe to end the season |

i think it's fine if he joins the Habs and gets a few games in this year, then next year ideally he spends the entire season in Laval. - DoubleDown
yeah but if he plays more than 9 games he burns a year or something, right? |

definitely. But he'll finish this season, it would be futile to bring in someone at this point... I'm really curious though to know if they already started identifying potential candidates, since they always limit themselves according to self-imposed criteria - Pat1993
It would make more sense to bring in a new GM first and then let him decide who he wants as a coach. |

They could just use the unused cap space for the last 3 years. That's about $20 million right there. Enough left over to fire MB's ass to!! |

Playing 5 minutes a game under CJ will surely do wonders to his confidence. |

no he's going to burn a year regardless if he plays NHL or AHL. that's what motivates these college kids to sign at the end of the season. they get to burn a year off their ELC in just a few weeks. |

heard that too this morning. Also heard about Caufield, it sounds like he would be available soon to play with the habs, which obviously he'd like to do, but perhaps it would be better for him to join the Rocket... - Pat1993
He should play another season at Wisconsin, and another World Juniors in my opinion. |

His situation is different than Poehling. Since he's 19, he has to play 10 games in the NHL to burn a year of his contract. All other situations (less than 10 NHL games, or he plays in the AHL) his contract slides one year. |

Meh. Buffalo had an historically bad year and got Eichel instead of McJesus. You never know. |
