Panarin definitely deserves serious consideration for the Hart. 2 points tonite and didn't even have a shot on goal!
Fox definitely deserves serious consideration for the Calder. Certainly doesn't play like a rookie on the youngest team in the league.
Quinn has done a FANTASTIC job. But if Columbus somehow gets into the playoffs, John Tortorella deserves to win the Jack Adams. How that skeleton crew continues to win games mystifies me.
Gauthier got moved up in the third period and played very well. He is noticeable on most shifts. I hope we continue to see him get more minutes as the season carries on.
HUGE game later today. LETS GO RANGERS! - TommyGTrain
If the Rangers make the playoffs, Panarin should be a consideration for the Hart and Quinn for the Jack Adams. Fox has been playing amazing but he is older than Quinn and Makar. They would probably lean towards either of them if the points are the same.

The bottom six are really starting to chip in every game now too. DiG and Gauthier have been terrific. Gauthier is a beast on skates, he’s just gotta learn to finish
Also, we gotta give Smith some credit. He’s been playing great and looks to be re-energized since going back on D
So many positives going on right now, I don’t want this season to end |

A great part of this winning streak and playoff push is we can finally stop talking about Hank and just focus on winning. That side story is way in the back for me now. |

well they did win two terrific playoff series over Montreal in 2014 and 2017 and Hank was great in those series but they did also score some timely goals
but Hank in his prime never had anyone like Panarin, even with Jagr it never felt like this
2005-06 Jagr's record breaking year was absolutely amazing but that season just felt so weird with all the penalties every two seconds. - jimbro83
Panarin had a multi point game with 0 shots. I know in theory that's possible, but wow.
Obviously has to keep it up through the contract, but who doesn't think this guy is worth 12 million now? |

God I love this team. With that being said, Strome and Tony D NEED to be locked up this offseason. I don’t care if Strome is product of Panarin. If Breadman is going to be here for 6 more years, he’ll need a sidekick. |

It only really effects you if somehow we sweep all 3 games with you. Honestly, I don't see either team going 3-0. I think both of us make the playoffs, the wheels are just coming off the others.
Wouldn't it be crazy if somehow we finished 2-3 in the division? It's a real possibility, even the Pens are playing like crap. |

He’ll be on the bench again
It’s obvious they’ve either completely lost faith in him or are purposely pissing him off so he’ll want out next year - Slimtj100
I think Georgie and Shesty have just been that much better. Since Jan 6 (Day we called up Shesty)
Shesty 9-1
Georgie is 6-3
Hank 1-2 (5 GA, shutout, 4 GA) |

Baffles me that the blue jackets have won 31 games and lost 34 and are sitting in a playoff spot while we have won 35 games and lost 28 and we’re in the outside.
They’re 3 games under .500 and we’re 7 games above .500 but the BJs are in there bc of the loser point. |

WIns make all things ..right ... accolades are starting to be said ,MVP's ,Calder , not important , those things are the results of what we've been seeing ,it takes care of itself, bottom 6 :impressive lately and growing, very consistent effort since Diguiseppe
joined team it marks when the bottom 6 started to congeeal ...Gauthier is gonna be a steal, tonite IF Buchny's back Howden is only guy i can say sits & not for bad work
Chtyil KK Digusuiseppe Mckegg (looks incrediblel last 2 ) Gauthier Howden Lemeuix
nice problem & whenin apinch move 1 up to top 6 when in need of a jolt or change .
this could be st lou 2.0 only better with kids steppin IN & vets steppin up ...
Its not too late to get on board the big blue Train ..... nothing left to do but keep it 1 game at atime ... 1 shift ,1 period , ....cant wait for philly ,confidence soaring,Georgie is the right call ,HANK is 2 wks AWAY from being a model modeling his best dressed to not dress
enjoy this ,as said ,as great as this is getting ,next yr & next 3 will be special & memorialized like our 94' boys .... ALL ABOARD !!!! |

well, to be fair, back in November when we were losing to Tampa 9-3, Columbus was beating teams like St Louis in overtime
but, I have no doubt we will pass Columbus, still have two games in hand on them, only two points back |

It’s the OT losses that piss me off. A loss is a loss and should not be worth half a win. They gotta make wins 3 points if they want to keep OT losses at 1 point. |

I still say we wind up WC1. Just all the other teams in the division sans the Flyers are disintegrating. If we didn't spot the Pens so many points, we probably could catch them too. |

The OT loss point disproportionately has a higher value than the second point you get for a win. Even with the ROW column being the tie breaker.
Really the only way to fix this is like you said, add that 3rd point for a win.
Win in 60 min - 3 pts
Win in OT - 2 pts
Lose in OT - 1 pt
Lose in 60 min 0 pts |
