I think with the 2 new additions that we will not see Vali. If he plays this year he has to be protected in the expansion draft. I can see them waiting with him.

Ya agree, no need to bring him up. Let him sit this season and get better and it frees up another spot to not be protected in the expansion draft

Hadn't heard about that rule, didn't think him playing this year made a difference for his draft eligibility . Big if true.

If he's healthy though...

Vali is a difference maker and we are built to win now, it'll be tough to keep him locked up if we are losing. Looks like we are going to lose Hamonic (my bet is on the Jets) and Brodie this year in free agency. It might be time to push our chips in now, especially with how muddled the Pacific division is this year.

Meh, Bennett was the obvious choice for us at #4. No regrets on that pick.
