My daughter goes to BC --- I've seen a couple of their games. Julius has a twin brother that is slightly larger and is a defenseman. Both are good players, not sure how their games will translate to NHL though... |

Tough weekend for the ladies out there! After a win to start the playoffs on Friday it looked good for them. Then the next thing I heard was that they were eliminated on Sunday. |

Manual review of offsides shouldn't even be a thing. Those blue and yellow lines that get superimposed on a football field are done by taking a 3d model of the field and overlaying the lines. Use the same tech, which was also used to create the old Fox-Trax comet puck for tv, sample the rink before game time to establish the line, identify the puck as an object either via static definitions or by integrated sensors (a-la Fox Trax) and allow the comptuer to simply watch the games and stamp every time the puck crosses the line referenced by corresponding players defined by sock or jersey color.
Honestly it should be able to not only tell you if the play was offsides in real time but which player it was. Add a red light for the linesman to glance at and call it a day. No more delays. |

You certainly make sense with this argument.
One thing I wonder though, didn't Fox have trouble with the chips breaking due to the force with which the puck gets hit? |

I think there should be no offsides rule, as it is a form of cap circumvention 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think it was more or less a dumb idea and why it stopped lol “people can’t seem to follow the puck” is why they used it originally and those people should’ve just stuck to baseball or basketball for their sports entertainment |

So DiG is playing with Zib again..I can’t..I just can’t
Getting Kakko going is of the upmost importance and this mfer is still playing a journeymen on the top line. I just don’t get it |

Here is a simple fix, no reviews except if a goal completely crossed the goal line.

reviews over whether or not it's goalie interference are nothing but trouble too

I got the perfect trade ...
Strome for Boone Jenner. He’s 14th in faceoff % and a glue kind of guy
Rangers get more of a defensive center (to shutdown the Couts of the world) which they desperately need, and CBJ gets more of an offensive one because I think they’re stuck with Wennberg (who is not an offensive center by any means lol) Jenner is a good fit for rebuild too, only 26 and a leader.
I’m actually surprised this trade hasn’t happen yet JD connections and all
I’m sorry I’m just so obsessed with the Rangers, I need help haha |

Part of it was that at the time it was crazy expensive. The other part was that people didn't respond well to it. But that tech has evolved quite a bit since then as has object detection and facial recognition. Just look at those horrible Snapchat filters as an example. If they tried hard enough they could probably replace the linesman or swap them for 1 additional referee. |

Jeez that was what 1996-97 and maybe the next season FOX did that? Horrible |

Are you giving Mr Quinn sh!t again? Have you given him credit for getting this team back in contention? - B2B76
Nah Bri, he’s been a great coach. Just hate that he can’t try Kakko up in the top line.
If they were gonna baby him he shoulda played in Hartford, at least a month or two. But what they’ve basically done is completely sapped his confidence and playing him in a god damned bubble it fees like. Let him go a little bit for (frank)s sake, I just don’t get it
I’m honestly surprised I’m in the minority about it. Very little discussion on here about this |

He's still a babyface kid but TBH he's invisible out there far too much for a guy with his skill level. He really should have gone to Hartford at some point, even to get his confidence back. He looks lost a lot. |
