Which is why there are cap issues. I knew you would start getting it if we dumbed it down enough for you. - Marwood
Like I said I will gladly take a bet against you that they make the cap next year |

There will be 3.5 coming off the 20 mil for bonuses but Ferland will probably be finished |

Bill Daly says he gave GMs a salary cap projection today for next season: the cap will be anywhere from $84 million to $88.2 million. The exact figure will be negotiated with the NHLPA.
This is the part where the players decide to vote on the escrow . |

The more I think of it I would prefer to sign TT over Jake and trade Jake to NJ for our first or Arizona's first.
We would have gotten JTM and TT for Jake a second a third and a conditional fourth.
We get our draft pick back. |

Cam Robinson pointed out Loui can't veto trades next year, he has to hand in a 15 team list July 1 st. |

I want Markstrom but I don't want to go higher than 4 years or 6 mil. That is my break off point. Lots of other reliable goalies UFA.
That said I am positive they will find a happy agreement. |

He will only be owed 5 mil left for his two years and the Cap floor will go up to around 65 mil.
Not counting on it but here's to hoping. He could also walk away after bonus . |

At some point the PA will get smart and stop giving GM/Owners another tool to fuk them.
Escrow is garbage and generally only helps the top tier UFA's stroke their egos. |

I think it will be a miracle if Markstrom accepts 4 years, I certainly wouldn't in his position. Lots of other Vet options out there to shelter Demko if the feel he's the future. I imagine the next month is what they base their decision on. |
