I think Benning will stay at least one more year. He's built a good team through the draft and the last couple free agencies/trades (his first few were trash and still linger)... so he can pawn it off as the coach not using his building blocks properly. Which I think most of us can agree on.

Roussel hasn't scored in his last 11 games, and only 1 goal in his last 24. yet he was out there in the final minutes with the net empty. Green is an idiot.

I just saw the highlights, first one was just a weird bounce, the one off Stechers skate was just shoddy play by him and the guys in front.

Looks like Jake had a good game.

I think that if we can sign TT, having BB, TT, JV as our top 9 RW will give us a strong year next year. EP/BH/AG give us a strong middle and JTM, TP, give us a good top 6. We can find a 3rd line LW cheap or within. I think someone like Lind could do it. Even Zack looks like he could be a 3rd liner next year.

I think Benning deserves one more season as well. He has built a good team from the ground up, and if he resigns TT , he also made some really important trades for this team recently. I think TT will resign, he seems to like it here and can play with his best buddy again.

Can't hang this on Benning. He's put the pieces in place, but an arrogant pig headed coach can't seem to figure out who his top 6 is lol

Maybe Aquilini will pay the dressing room a visit a la' Melnyk?

Why would he until signed? If you were traded to a team at the end of your contract, and wanted to stay, would you buy a house before a new one was signed? Or would you wait until you had one?

I think Green is more of an issue than Benning for sure.

If Benning fires Green(probably will if we miss playoffs) he should get another year. A coach like Gallant or even Boudreau can get this team in the playoffs, which will save Jim's job for another year. I doubt Jim bets his job/career on Green after this season if we fail to make the playoffs. I can also see FA forcing Benning to fire the guy if he won't do it himself.

God I hope so, their play away from the puck is terrible and the team needs a new direction to build on the young core. Big mess to clean up but some great young pieces to build on.

Nothing Gallant can't handle
