Much better effort the last two games. They supposedly "sorted some things out" through the days between Calgary and Boston games. The defensive game seems more responsible.
Little bit of a chicken or the egg question here, but they just seem to play better in front of Driedger. Do they play better because he's the "backup" and they up their game, or because they are more calm when he's in there?
Compared to Driedger, Bob is like a Mexican jumping bean in the crease. Driedger is steady and anything but flashy, but he battles and stops pucks. He doesn't spit out rebounds as Bob (too) often will, that may be the biggest reason that this team is currently just better with Driedger playing in goal.

The penalty would've been cancelled if the rules allowed it. Reducing it from a major to a minor shows that upon review the refs saw there was no intentional elbow from Dadonov.
Same thing happened to Stillman last night, knocked him tfo, it looked like from my seat. No penalty called, as it was incidental contact from the guy's elbow coming up while moving the puck from in tight to the boards.....is this when we go to Habs board and start whining and talking poop while displaying poor hockey knowledge? 🤔
