literally the most important game of the year. Taking it as a tie on pro line.

4-3 Avs OT

- LordHumungous

Such a drama queen. All of the points are worth the same. Have 16 games left, need 10 wins and a couple OTLs

Green's weaknesses have really been exposed over the past few weeks.

Yes Marky is injured I get it but Markstrom masked so many gaps in the team they all show now.

We are a bottom 4 club over the last 2-3 weeks.

- LordHumungous

Another false narrative. The team has actually been playing better. Green has them allowing fewer quality scoring chances, it’s been bad luck and a few isolated bonehead plays.

Team was 4-4 with Marky in the month of Feb.

Team as a whole has been getting progressively worse as the season has gone on. Need a good jolt. Fire Green.

- manvanfan

They aren’t, actually

Exactly. There was no indication we were PO bound with a healthy markstrom.

As a few predicted on here Green was an ok choice at the time but he isn't the guy to get the team to the next level quite obvious there.

Math = no psychologic.
A loss to COL means out of playoff position. Only God (and Vantel) must know the reaction on a young core of Betas.

Harman Dayal says Jordie Benn is better on the right than the left. Just another thing Green is getting wrong.
- manvanfan

LOL you wanted him to play his right shot D on the left side so Benn can look better?

First RD out he put Benn on the Right side. Remarkably Tanev, in contract year, has played all the games. Benn was probably thought of as back up for filling in. That hasn't happened and Fatty outplayed him on the left side.

Green may get other things wrong but this one not on him.

Has there been a more improved team in the league this year? They were 25th in the league in goals for last year and are currently top 10. A large part of that is Green.

How many other coaches would of had the balls to play Pettersson as C despite not playing the position in over a year? Hughes was given the keys to the PP as rookie within a month, Virtanen has improved tonnes, Markstrom has quoted many times how Green was instrumental in him regaining his game and conference in Utica.

Gaudette was garbage last year and struggled a lot early in the season but Green stick with him despite Bennings golden boy being healthy.

Green making Benning look good.

Canucks still make the playoffs and win a round or two.

(frank) you Don for being the only sensible one on here.

- belcherbd

Just because he has been good for development during a dark period does not mean he is the coach to get this team to the next level.

I’m saying that the data does not support the narrative that the team is playing worse.

I had a thought about this the other day. The team was being out chanced but

The team was bad in a good way.

No collapsing and making every single attempt to block every shot. Allowing Marky to see the puck to make the save. The chance might be a good one but I think Marky had a better shot at saving a puck he can clearly see vs a puck he can't.

They need to score lots of goals to win and tightening up defensively hasn't generated the offence they need to win games because they don't have the puck enough. Chasing the game instead of taking it to the other team offensively.

If Arizona doesn’t score the fluky goal and Canucks win, they jump back into division contention. If Demko plays to his capabilities they win in TO. This isn’t a good enough team that guys can take a night off and still win, but generally speaking, they are playing well enough on any given night to get the job done. If the foundational players at the bottom of the roster would do their job, it wouldn’t even be a question of if they make the playoffs.

If the team was playing better they wouldn't be losing.

You're going with the "what if" method again. Youre a guy who was completely against going after anyone and saying the team wasn't ready at the TDL and always want the unknown in the draft picks.

You like the "If" instead of the reality.

It’s ironic really that the first word in your first sentence is “if”

You’re right, I didn’t want to give up the future for Miller or Toffoli or anchor the team to Myers or Ferklund, or Beagle or Rousel or Sutter etc. But they have, and so now I’m stuck either cheering for this mediocre team that thinks they can contend or continuing to female dog about the past. The thing that annoys me here is the bipolar retards who are chanting Stanley Cup during a 14 out of 17 game win streak and then panic an shout fire the coach when they lose 4 in a row. They are playing as well now as when they were winning, they just aren’t a contender, and that’s what we’re seeing.
