Unfortunately that’s not a requirement for the playoffs. - Cptmjl
Getting 4 out of 14 points their last seven games isn't going to get them into the playoffs. |

Sounds like they played a good game. Hopefully they can build on it but playing good and losing doesn’t get us anywhere at this point. They have to go on a serious streak. |

That’s (frank)ing terrible😂
Complete, total, collapse. I’m still holding onto them going on a streak here and going in strong to the playoffs. Hopefully I’m right if they don’t make it in it’s a huge step back. |

Can’t be picky at this point😂
Get in and hope for the best. Hopefully we get back Cizikas. If Bailey is hurt get Bellows back in and hope for the best. |

You want to look at why we’re losing look no further than this. Last year we had a goaltender that came up with big saves when needed and a tender that could win us games when the team came out with a slow start or had lapses. We don’t have that any longer. Three more years of this (frank)ing guy.🤮 |

Andrew Ladd as the third shooter with the game on his stick and he shoots it wide. That’s awesome. Hopefully he’s on the first line next game so we can get Komarov up to the 2nd. Maybe we’ll have hickey play as a forward so we don’t have to call up bellows. |

It's so close right now. They're 1 point behind Columbus with 2 games in hand and 2 points ahead of the Rangers and Panthers with 1 game in hand. Their regulation wins is the lowest so they lose all the tiebreakers.
They need to start winning in regulation to get back in it. Their schedule doesn't look too bad for the rest of the season. If they miss the playoffs it will be fully on them. |

If they have to play Boston they'll lose in a 4-0 sweep. I'm not even sure I want to watch that. |

Varlomov doesnt inspire confidence at all he let's in soft goals. I didnt have an issue with ladd in the shootout, hes looked good the last two and barzal and eberle missed as well. This team is a bubble team as we can see and they don't have much in the system which is more concerning |

History would tell us that they’ve always been terrible against Boston. With that said you never know you got to be in it to win it. |

They will play well in the series and lose close games but boston has Bergeron and chara and McAvoy to out out against barzal. Once they shut him down we are toast |

Or we have two good wingers in the system and they’re not being developed properly. I’ll bet(hope) Thompson is gone after this season. I like our center depth for the foreseeable future. If Wahlstrom and bellows work out and lameriello actually makes a sensible trade we’re fine. Our blue line is formidable imo. If sorokin comes over and plays like we all hope pushing Varlamov to back up we’re golden. It’s not all doom and gloom like some are spouting as far as the future. |

Trotz has to get someone who can score on Pageau’s wing. Beau has to go on a streak and Komarov has to be delegated to a fill in once Cizikas is back. Komarov should not be in this line up EVER when it’s healthy. He’s great in the lockeroom awesome well keep him there. |

When he's on, he's good. He just hasn't been on anywhere near enough, especially when it's mattered most. There were a couple of defensive breakdowns beyond his control...the early 3-on-2 and the PPG would have been goals against most goalies on any night. But the bottom line is he's gotta be able to out-duel Thatcher friggin' Demko when the team needs him and gives him four goals to work with. |

Yeah that’s the story of his career and doesn’t make for a good goaltender. Perhaps Lameriello’s worst move with Komarov a close second both of whom we’re handcuffed to for too long. Komarov on the third line is an eye sore. Welcome to the Islanders Pageau. |

Not that it matters but the goalie actually stacked the pads on that. He didn't shoot it wide and sadly it looks like Hickey's brother passed away yesterday |

That sucks sorry for him. I didn’t watch anything more than the third period just going on what I read. Ladd in the shootout to me is funny. |
