Are you upset? - CanuckDon
Even if #teamwhiner takes the month of March in the monthly cup challenges the best they can do now is a 3-3 tie on the year with #teampompom.
Yes Marwood is upset lol |

JV's not displacing BB and TT on RW. Like you said he can fill in for them or move up for a change. But its a numbers game. He has value and will get a decent contract between 2-3M. - NuckUp
Green won't put TT with BH or TP. Really, BB should be with EP and JT. What happens to AG, BS is JV is added to line 3? If JB returns what about AR and TM? ZM is an issue...
On D if QH is no1 where does that leave AE? CT is a 2nd pairing guy as is AE so who slots in with QH next year? TS, JB and OF really are bottom pairing at best. Looks like we need another D to slot in with QH.
Goal? If JM returns for PO's will TD be distressed? We have MD and LD in the 'system' but is that a next year thing?
So you see it's really a 'letters' game and not a numbers one. |

If Canucks sign Toffoli, one of the Right wingers will be moved over the next season or so.

Here is three other names of players who had very good contract years and all played for Canucks recently . They all had between 30-50 points in their contract year and all got paid over 3 mil per

We get it man - AG will get 1mil and JV will get 2mil - both players will amount to nothing more than 4th line players and if they do sign for anything higher than those predicted #s they'll be horrible value contracts added to the sh&t pile.

No one disagrees it will be better to sign Jake for 2MM. They doubt its possible. |

It is the same crowd who said Boeser 8 x 7.5. , Edler 5x6 , Myers 7x6.
I personally think Jake is playing his last dozen games as a Canuck anyways , so I don't think it will matter what he gets. |

Out of curiosity is Sutter's line considered the third or fourth line?
Serious question . They played 5 more minutes than Gaudettes line but produce less scoring.
I see Gauds line as the third line but TOI says I am wrong. |

Letting Virtanen go would be stupid, he’s a valuable NHL tweener with 40 points and 20 goals, most likely, those are hard to come by. Not to mention he’s a possession driver, he can skate better than almost anyone on the team and he’s our best player some nights. |

The last 3 years he has averaged 12 goals 12 assists per year. Heard the same things said about Sven Baertchi . He can play up and down the line up yada yada yada.
You really think he will get 20 G 20 A playing on Sutters line next year? I don't see it. |

Podkolzin on if he things he is ready for the NHL soon : ”Let ’s not get ahead of ourselves. I have 1 more year on my contract. Of course every player has a dream to play in NHL and I want to prepare myself for this as much as possible.” |

Sutter won’t be here next year and Virtanen is nothing like Baertschi so that’s a poor comparison. He’s getting better, Virtanen, not worse, keeping him is a complete no-brainer.
It’s guys like Sutter who you want to get rid of, his game is in decline, he’s in his 30’s and he’s costing the team WAY too much in cap space. |

Sutter won't be here? So when Beagle gets injured next year and Sutter is gone who is our fourth center?
