Friedman said sounded as tho it could be 3 week hiatus.
They’d have to shorten playoff series to best if 3 or 5 I bet |

I'm just spitballing here and it would probably create a bad precedent... what if somehow the NHL used the rest of the season to create play in rounds to the playoffs? They want extra teams, and having single elimination games for say the teams currently 8-15 for the 8th seed would reduce the need for rescheduling regular season games. |

Perfect timing for Kreider to come back at full force and for Shesty to be healed fully |

They have dates for poop tho. FA, draft, even the start of next season, etc. That’s the most realistic solution imo
But I actually think both leagues played their last games of the season last night

This is uncharted territory. Who knows what will happen. I read the virus begin to die down once the weather gets warmer. I dont know if it is true. All of these cancellations is two fold, help stop the spread of the virus and to not over burden the health system. - Brukie
Trump and Fox news bullpoop misinformation. Sucks that the POTUS has to politize this. |

Another theory is start the playoffs as soon a they get the all clear and have expanded teams in it. Top 16 in Pts % would make it. Not sure where that puts us |

That's why i thought of the 8-15 tournament for each conference. You could play all the games at a neutral arena. Might only take a week to do and then you just start the playoffs as normal
Mark Cuban said that the NBA is postponing and not cancelling games and that he's heard that they are prepared to go into August if they have too. Obviously not the same as hockey, but you wonder if they would take that lead and just shorten next season. |

I don’t know about that, the two provinces that are the coldest in Canada don’t have a case reported. And looking at the USA map not many of the cold weather states have cases. Now that may be due to not out as much and people have gloves on etc in the cold weather |

Well since the Rangers have so few loser points, if they did a winning % type of thing that should help them right? They have more regulation wins then most around them |

I think that is due to population density and those people possibly having less tourism/visitors and doing less traveling themselves. |

I just don't see the owners allowing empty arenas during games, they're losing too much money.
Also, this could affect the cap next season. |

For those who have asked, the Rangers are still in Denver and are not at the airport. |
