Missed most of the game and just saw some highlights..what a deflection by Buch I mean what a clutch goal that was! He’s been great the second half and all year for the most part, good year from Buch

I feel like if the rest of the season is cancelled, only to be fair they should use the same draft order as last year.

On a serious note, could this frank of the expected rise in the salary cap? With no more revenues coming in. Not really sure how it works but things could get messy fast

It totally would. Even if they play in front of empty arenas, HRR goes way down. On a serious note, if they are going to shut it down for awhile, do it now. Don't wait a month and see if this really blows up and then guarantee that the season might be lost. Do whatever you have to do within reason so that maybe in 4-6 weeks they can figure out how to do some kind of postseason.

I really think this is getting out of hand. I understand taking precautions but holy poop this is the mother of all overreactions. People act like we have a new plague on our hands. Yes, I know, even if the death rate plummets to 1% it will still be nearly 10x more deadly than the common flu but it's just the flavor of the year. Every year seems to have some new catastrophe that the media attaches itself to. Main difference being that this one actually has some legit concerns/merit behind it.

The way we are going we will be heading towards a depression soon.

Rangers going to have to trade Tony D now once the cap falls to about 70 million and MDW will lose his poop

This is already having a cascading effect everywhere. The worst part of this whole situation could possibly be the economic fall out. Sorry if that seems cold towards people actually dying but this is gonna be bad.

I think it's overblown too. The amount of people who have either had no symptoms or had mild symptoms and never went to the doctor and are part of the count, might be in the millions around the world for all we know.

I just think if they are going to stop the world so to speak, they should just do it now so we can restart it again sooner. Otherwise, there's no end in sight. Everyone is comparing this to Spanish Flu, fun fact Spanish Flu is just H1N1 and is still very much around. This isn't going to go away and at some point we are just going to have to learn how to deal with it.

As someone who works for a financial institution, I gotta say I share your worry. The greedy part of me wants it to keep falling so any future retirement funds get invested at lower prices, but we all know if that happens there would be a mass round of layoffs and really no one is immune.

I get what they are trying to do but I feel it is shortsighted. If you start closing now yeah, you might stop some cases from happening right now. But once this works its way in (which it likely will no matter what is done) are they going to shut down again? If a school closes for 2 weeks because of an ancillary staff member having the virus and reopens only to have more cases do they just shutdown again?

A lot of this appears to be knee jerk reactions and not wanting to have liability in the event an outbreak happens.

I honestly think what is going to happen is things will shut down and then maybe (hopefully) somebody starts observing that for most people symptoms aren't that bad. Then agencies will start advising people on how to better protect themselves from getting it or how to at least lessen the symptoms (rest, vitamin C, etc) and then things will go back to normal.
