You guys lost your minds when I suggested that:
- Hughes wasn’t in the upper echelon of 1st overall picks (ie. Kane, Matthews, Ovi, etc)
- Hischier wasn’t worth his contract
Apologies, please. Thx in advance

Hischier is worth every penny and Hughes is still 18. Sorry. |

Idk. Hischier pulled in a lot of money for a guy rocking 14 goals 22 assists and a -16. Yes it’s season one of a multi year deal but let’s be honest. We are paying him like a star he hasn’t become yet. |

This team needs a experienced coach that can stabilize a team, a coach that has won (like gallant or bruce someone like that)...nas doesn't know what to do when the devils turn the puck over and over an over...he doesnt have the stones to bench pk who was awful absolutely awful ..and yes for the 500th time please please put jack at center he's clearly not strong or a good enough shooter to be a wing..people underrated pav he's just as big a factor on that line than bratt and gooses, I mean he made a beautiful pass to gusev for a goal..that doesn't happen without that pass which was perfect |

I mean its definitely been an up and down season for Nico but he's had a rotating door on LW for pretty much the entire season, and dealt with multiple injuries himself which i have no doubt slowed him down. Lets not forget how well he dominated for ~25 games after after the Hall trade until he got hurt, he was around 21 points in those 24/25 games and was a bull on the puck in the corners/behind the net. He hasnt been good as of late but nobody really has on this team besides some nice chem from the goose/bratt/zacha line. Before his injury he was on a greater points pace then last season, which was better than his rookie year. He's still growing and clearly getting better each year. I have no issue with his contract whatsoever |

It's not even season one of his deal yet, he's still on the entry level contract. Also his 7mil isn't top of the line star money anymore. It's more inline with very good player money which he definitely is. He hasn't been the same since he got injured and is probably not 100% at the moment. |

Yeah I know. I’m just reacting to ‘worth every penny.’ The Kid did well and hopefully in a few years we will agree he’s underpaid. |

it's a good deal for him and the team. he gets his money up front and the team gets the long term deal and don't have to mess around with poopty rfa negotiation problems. |

Pavel Zacha has played well at times between Jesper Bratt and Nikita Gusev. He’s not a top-6 forward, though, and he probably never will be.
agreed!
You know who is though? the guy that was picked 10 spots after Zacha.
Every heard of him? his name is Matthew Barzal. |

The NBA has suspended their season. Wouldn't be surprised if the NHL follows and does as well |

I think they'll wait until someone gets it, then it's game over. I'm assuming Gobert tested positive today and the NBA didn't react until .. after all the fans were in their seats? or he tested positive closer to tip off? It's going to be a very interesting couple of months, and hopefully that's all it is. It spreads so easily and there's no vaccine. Yea, it's *mostly* compromised people that are dying, but there are a TON of those people in the country/world. Gobert had it... just think of all the people he was in contact with or in "breathing distance" of. They could all have it.. and suddenly 1 person turns into potentially 25.. maybe 50.. who then come in contact with how many other people until they're quarantined? This thing is no joke. Yea, it probably won't kill most people, but it might kill people's grandparents, parents, low-immune system friends and family. craziness. |

The league will provide an update tomorrow. So no suspension as of now, but could happen tomorrow |

Yes! Finally someone that understands. It's not about how deadly it is, it's about the fact that there is no vaccine and there are people who will die because of it. Rudy did test positive and the Jazz and thunder are in the building quarantined until further notice, from what I've heard. |

Dreger on NBCSN a few minutes ago said its a possibility that the league suspends play and cuts off the rest of the regular season, then resume immediately with the start of playoffs when everything is cleared. That would freeze the current standings if that happened, which means the Canucks would be in as the 2nd wild card.
Cant wait for that update tomorrow. The league has a ton of pressure to follow what the NBA did |

that would be really something for all the teams in the running for a playoff spot. man o man. WPG about to bounce Van out of that spot though. |

When the stoppage comes, it'll likely come for the AHL too, hopefully that doesnt ruin Bing's momentum because they've been rolling for awhile now. |

I would assume it'd go by points % and not just actual points if this situation happens. Canucks would get in over the Jets with 2 games in hand and 2 points behind, same would go for the Isles/Jackets in the East. Nobody knows what would happen though because its never happened before, and i doubt it would, its just one of the possibilities |
