Lovely. I got into the spicy mezcal margs last night 🤤

Nice!
We are working on canned goods, dog food and stocking the bar tomorrow.

Fortunately, there is an ounce of mushrooms in the freezer (fantastic in blender drinks, 1/2 gram per drink, to start) and 10 hits of LSD in the special tin.

We're ready for lock down.

Thanks for the reminder to load up on Limeade.

I wonder how this situation will affect bonus payouts for players?

Would Toronto even make it? They aren't up by much with more games played.
- Retinalz

They top Florida by a whisker.

Toronto vs. Tampa.

It won't. they will still get paid. The thing is, how will July 1st work if they are in the middle of playoffs. will College UFA's that decide not to sign with their teams be able to sign Aug 15th still?

They will need to figure out a lot of things. Next year is going to be very interesting for two thirds of the leagues.

Example; if they fall short on points due to reduced season.

Next year will probably start in November and we will so more back to backs, and/or less 3+days off in between games.

They will either miss the bonus...really if they complain about missing out on money because of a Pandemic, fvck em. Or they will pro-rate it based off of team games played.

Example for easy math. They get a bonus if they hit 82 points but the team only played 70 games, then it would be based off of needing 70 pints instead. Something like that.

I look forward to all the articles and opinions calling the players selfish for not using a max escalator to help the league artificially increase the cap.

I read a while ago before this all started that they were in line to have 14% of their salaries clawed back this year. I fully expect the players to fight escrow.

Compliance buyout sounds like a wonderful idea.

If the regular season ends today then players should have to pro rate their salary . Owners would pay a 6 million dollar contract 4 mil instead approx.

There will obviously be lost profits so the cap will go down instead of up as predicted.I know fans and media will jump on the cap issue train but Canucks had the 8 th most cap space for next year. As much as fans think Canucks will be screwed teams like Tor and TB are even worse off . This will be a league wide problem except for teams like NJ OTT Col a few teams at the low end of the scale.

Elliot Freidman just said on SN that the league is looking into this as we type. Two compliance buyouts per team would be fantastic.

Edit. They just said 15% of the season remaining

Ya, so that 6 mil would be 5.1

2 buyouts would be amazing Loui and Sven? I still think Sutter is tradeable.

I would use it on Myers and Loui

There are lots of assumptions . Everyone is basing this on the hope this will all be done with in a month. What happens if this is still a problem in 8 months or players have long term damage?

I know I am hoping for best case scenario lets hope this doesn't hit horrific scales .

Yeah.
Loui, sven, Sutter and Beagle would be the candidate’s.

...Waits for Myers to be mentioned.

Edit. Too slow. 😆

Lol, don't think they'll use it on a guy they signed last year. Myers is fine, I think. Plus, you're going to have to replace him, and that's going to cost a good chunk.

I remember back to the last compliance buy out and everyone wanted Ballard bought out and one or two visionaries ( I think DCT) said hey man buy out Loungo. Everyone laughed.
