I'm afraid the salary cap is going to be effected by lost revenue
hopefully it's just a 2-3 week delay and this all blows over and they pick up season where it left off |

Yep I was thinking about this the other day. How much will it drop? It could really frank the Rangers, especially this season. Would be the worst offseason for it to happen |

I'm still a Strome fan even though he can't hit an open net right now.
He's in a slump right now, maybe by the time the season resumes he will pick it up.

Yeah, I said something about that yesterday. How much will it drop with the lost revenue if the season is cancelled? |

Don't forget that there is a 5% escalator in the CBA. I know the PA doesn't like to use it because it messes with the escrow I think, but I could see the union doing it this time so their members don't suffer or have some UFA period like what's going on in baseball right now.
Either way, I can't see the cap dropping. Even if in theory it would, I imagine there would be some exception that would be compromised by all parties. Not only would it hurt the players, but most of the teams in the league would get screwed by it. |

Misphrazed that, I meant that it might not go up as much as hoped with the lost revenue. |

No doubt that is going to happen, still it was a honest question. HRR is gonna get rekt if the season is canned. Though I guess if there is a resumption, it might not get hit as hard if somehow they play anywhere close to 82 games. |

You need a player like Lemuix, even with all his issues. Every good team has one. Im not suggesting paying him buku bucks, just keeping him.
Got to keep Fast, don't care what any of you guys say. He really is the swiss army knife and always plays hard.
Our D-Corp is going to be real good. We have two superstar forwards, Im excited for next year. |

He honestly doesn’t bring much. I understand the agitator thing but seems like the only thing he agitates is Ranger fans haha. I thought he was a better player with more skills when they traded for him, but he kinda sucks
Hopefully he’s on Seattle’s radar for expansion |

You seem to think the Republican party can do know wrong and is some choir of angels under attack from the evil Democrats.
I don't even have a dog in this fight, but that seems like a really silly and naive viewpoint.

Completely realize that both sides have faults...Just don't like constant one sided media in attack mode on everything being done/not being done by President, etc.

It's really Avery all over again. When he actually is providing some offense, he has tremendous value, but when it dries up You'd almost take a career AHL player over him |

Approx. 5k peopl dead in a world of 7.5 billion over 2/3 months! Let's shut down our economy/ country... Great response! Idiots - rrentz
Things are shutting down because they are trying to flatten out the curve with respect to infections. We all know that this isn't going away, and that it will be with us for awhile. But, if they don't shut things down, the fear is that our health systems will be overwhelmed and the mortality rate will be much higher than it otherwise maybe if we start to get our house in order before having to deal with thousands or tens of thousands of cases of this at once.
We don't have adequate testing yet, we are far, far off from a vaccine, and our medical processes for dealing with this just aren't up to snuff right now.
I saw some medical experts say that possibly 70,000-150,000 million Americans will ultimately be infected with this. If that is ultimately the case, then obviously it will be much better if the mortality rate drops from the approximate 3.4% it is now (I acknowledge that number isn't incredibly reliable right now).
But, even if it's 1% that creates a significant risk to the population. The seasonal flu by comparison has a .1% mortality rate.
This issue should be partisan. We should listen to the people that know what they are talking about like Dr. Fauchi and others and act accordingly.
Even is this is starting to feel like the first few chapters of Stephen Kings the Stand right now :-).
Be safe everyone. |

Agreed.
I will go on record here as saying I have been underwhelmed with Lemieux for weeks if not months now.
Any benefit from the agitating he does is more than mitigated by his inept play and poor decision making. With Lindgren and Smitty in the line up, he is only a liability, IMO. |

I ran into my brother's sister-in-law yesterday in the store. She is a nurse, and as I was about to say hi, I saw her shopping cart FULL of toilet paper! I just walked away without even greeting her.

We were down to 2 rolls, so my wife bought TP yesterday, so I had to tease her about it.
Friend of mine nearly got into a fight with another woman as they were both reaching for the last 4-pack the other day. |
