Agreed.
I will go on record here as saying I have been underwhelmed with Lemieux for weeks if not months now.
Any benefit from the agitating he does is more than mitigated by his inept play and poor decision making. With Lindgren and Smitty in the line up, he is only a liability, IMO. - Tonybere
And he is a penalty magnet as well. I think the minuses outweigh the pluses. |

I ran into my brother's sister-in-law yesterday in the store. She is a nurse, and as I was about to say hi, I saw her shopping cart FULL of toilet paper! I just walked away without even greeting her.
There are stupid people in every walk of life. SMH - Tonybere
At my kid's high school, there is a group of rather young enterprising kids that bought a poop ton of hand sanitizer, and started selling in the high school bathroom (which notoriously was used for drug transactions in the past). Price gouging at it's best. True captains of industry in the making.

That’s it in a nutshell.
I loved him when they got him and it’s slowly become where I can’t stand him |

Yep. And because of his penalty and poor decision making history, he doesn't even draw the calls that should be made a lot of the time. |

Yep I was thinking about this the other day. How much will it drop? It could really frank the Rangers, especially this season. Would be the worst offseason for it to happen - TPC
Agreed, It really would hurt the Rangers with the dead cap space money this season BUT this is a big BUT I had never thought in a thousand years the Hank would waive his NTC but his comments have me to believe he would. With AG and Shesty playing extremely well and him just being a cardboard backup, I really dont think he likes sitting on the bench. I dont think he will retire, he will get traded and we retain half or we buy him out and we retain half. Either way that will be 4.3mil in savings. I wouldnt fault the Rangers for this buyout if it should happen, as I did with Shatty, this is really a no brainer, you keep your 2 best goalies. This was an unexpected, pleasant surprise. |

Re: trading Lemieux and Strome
We would still need a rat player and a 2C. Any possibility we could lure Brendon Gallagher away from the Canadians? He fills both |

Not to mention, his agitating is muffled by the zebras 9/10 of the time.
He's been one of the mainstays on the fourth line all year, and imo, the bottom 6 has been the worst part of this team. Strong correlation there.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him involved in a trade before next year. |

He is a RFA, maybe they don't qualify him. |

It's possible. Signing a LW becomes a huge priority either way in the offseason. |

I don't think they would trade Gallagher.
Looking at his cap hit, and good lord, the Weber contract never ceases to amaze me. |

If they don’t resume the reg season and jump right into the playoffs, the most sensible thing to do is have play in games imo
East - hurricanes and BJs get a bye
9 vs 12 - Habs at Isles
10 vs 11- panthers at rangers
West - Jets and Canucks get a bye
9 vs 12- hawks at predators
10 vs 11- yotes at wild
Those winners play the bye teams (seeded like football) and those winners are wild cards for the playoffs.
Them doing this wouldn’t shock me, because the teams that have a chance, pre virus pause, still have a chance and no one is left out. They’ll have to do something drastic like this imo if this pause extends into April

The notion that this team is soft is stale. Guys like Trouba, Lindgren, ADA, Smith all play with an edge. We've got a lot of great forecheckers who use their bodies to obtain possession to get control of the puck. |

Love having tough guys on D. Would be nice to have a guy as tough as Wilson as a forward. Outside of Lemieux we don't have that agitator. |

Whoops, thought you meant Weber. Gallagher is making 3.75 this year and next. I don't think we could afford him even if they were willing to trade him. They would probably want at least Miller or Kravs. I propose Lias and a 2nd. |

This is sort of off topic, but you brought him up. At some point, does Nashville trade a primo asset to get his contract back? Gotta figure they'd want him under their books totally so they can control the whole recapture thing on their own merit and potentially use LTIR.
He still looks like he has something left in the tank. In theory I'd take Weber if MOntreal retained some of it. It wouldn't take much retnetion and he'd be cheaper than Skeji which is odd |
