Wernher von Braun.

One of them that lead the program. Look up how many from Avro went there.

I have a compromised immune system, trust me, I'm taking precautions.
- Marwood

I know you do. The day you talked about it my friend who's a family physician was at my place.

Not sure about the science but I believe alcohol weakens the immune system. How about some yoga?
- manvanfan

It's a total Cougfest

I haven’t been around much these last few days, this Pandemic is real and is affecting all walks of life and industry. My industry is particularly hard hit by preventive measures being implemented.

Again this situation is extremely real, you may not be affected personally but your community, your province, your country and your planet is. It seems some need to get their heads out of the sand.

A shout out to Codes and RealityChecker for providing useful advice and information.

Please everyone take precautions, be extra vigilant, and I echo Carol-Schram.....” At this point, I think the appropriate course of action is for y'all be as combative as you usually are when the mood strikes. Not moreso...just the same...”

- Makita

Hopefully everyone's takes the proper precautions and stays safe. This thing is the real deal and everyone should take it seriously.

So are Madden and the 2nd round pick now considered a complete waste if there’s no playoffs? If were a GM and owner I’d be pissed at the wasted assets and draft picks spent on rentals for the postseason.

This is unfair and untrue. Yes we live in a gated golf course community when there but we aren’t so naive that we’re unaware of what goes on outside of it or we’ve never been or seen what’s outside of our proverbial bubble. We’ve travelled all over the United States and we love everything about it despite the downside aspects of it.
- LeftCoaster

Well you are obese. Fat people love the US. I’m very fit so I have mixed feelings

Staying in 5 star hotels is not really seeing "outside of the proverbial bubble".

For those that are healthy, wealthy, and white the US is one big Disneyland.
For the rest of Americans, not so much.

Don’t be offended. My wife and I spent a lot of time in Cali. Really enjoy most of the state. Even considered moving to Pacific Grove outside of Monterey. It’s almost perfect. But it is a bubble and not a true reflection of the problems that plague that society.

Americans can achieve anything they put their mind to (just look at their space program) but there is a dark side to all that success. There’s something not right.

- bloatedmosquito

You don’t get it either. But you aren’t fat so I support you in these dark times

I just got an email from Shaw. Shaw to go wifi is now free for everyone even if you don't subscribe to Shaw.

It's a small gesture by them but a good one imo.

So if you need wifi if or when you're out, it's free where you see the Shaw to go sign.

It's the internet, I don't get offended

I don't think their every day society is much different than ours to be honest. I'm not talking about their political climate, but rather every day life for the average American. Working, paying bills, a mortgage, buying groceries and having entertainment.

A lot of the problems that plague them are present here as well, but we have less people than the state of California so its not a prevalent. Average people in Canada struggle just as much as the average American does.

As someone mentioned before it’s like the dog days of summer happening mid-season. Deep down we all like the abuse. That’s why we keep coming back. We’re all sick (frank)s.

Except for the murder/violent crime rate, but that doesn’t really matter when you’re behind a giant fence.

I just mowed the grass. Almost got knocked out by falling branches but it was worth it.

Summer’s just around the corner. I’m pumped.

Their space program was acheived by the collapse of Nazi Germany and killing Avro Arrow program here.

It’s a complete misnomer to say that high crime rates are prevalent in every walk of life, in every community, in America, they just simply aren’t. Are they higher on a national level, absolutely, population says the probabilities are much higher in their low income communities, but, much like Canada their high crime areas are specific to certain areas of large cities or certain areas of the state or country.

Sure, it’s just one of many issues but we can’t talk about all of them together so we do it one at a time. Teams futures could be affected if they heavily mortgaged the future for a run at the Cup this year.

It's a relevant point, we've talked about people dying all day. So maybe STFU.
