So next year when the Covid-19 strain is included with your annual flu vaccine I think the country should go through the same freak out. Blame game politics aside, this situation better open peoples eyes about finally decoupling from China. The fact that the 9th biggest country in China either mishandled a virus from a facility or it just plain came from a disgusting unregulated fish market is bringing ours and the global economy to it's knees is insane and should never happen again. |

Really I just want to know how they say the mortality rate is 3.5% when they also say 100,000s are infected.
On top of that the mortality rate in South Korea and Germany is like .5% of reported cases.
Whats the deal with those two pieces of information.

MSFT seems to be holding $140 very strong. I can't wait to jump back in, but that requires better Covid news. - lacaprup
I made 20% on SQQQ in an hour on Thursday morning.
The (frank)er is up 30% today though and I’m all in cash. Missed the boat on that one. |

I did some simple math this morning.
XOM is paying about a 9.5% divy right now. They have $3 billion in cash on hand and it will cost them $1.5 billion per quarter to meet that divy.
They can't possibly pay that, right?
I tell you, if I didn't think it was morally wrong to short a company, I would be shorting like mad at some places. There is no way major cruise lines and airlines don't go under unless they're given direct bailouts. |

I have no idea to be honest.
I'm sure each establishment is going to have its own translation of the rules. |

I feel bad for those industries. My wife and I just cancelled our trip to Boston at the end of the month for my 40th birthday. We were planning to go to the JFK Presidential Library, the Tasting Counter, and have a nice three days. Instead we've cancelled and gotten refunded $250 airfare, $1,130 hotel bill, and $1,000 price for 4 dinners at tasting counter. I have to say JetBlue and the InterContinental Hotel Boston were both 100% awesome in giving the refund even though I did not purchase trip insurance when I booked three weeks ago. Still waiting to hear back from the restaurant.
That is happening a million times over across the country. That's a nightmare of wartime proportions for the transport, hospitality, and restaurant businesses. All of the airline CEOs say it is getting worse as far as cancellations go, not better. |
