The D should be about just as good as last year, provided we stay healthy 🤞
They need another RB - Powerslave
Agreed on RB and some o line depth in the draft |

Sure but good drafting is luck too on some level. - sbroads24
At the NHL level it's majority luck. A half competent GM in the NFL might not hit home runs in the draft, but will at least stay away from busts. The same isn't true in hockey. |

The talent pool below the 4th overall pick in the NHL falls off drastically so drafting is clearly more difficult. It is the "OTHER" things I don't trust him with.... |

Most of good GM’ing is drafting.
Can’t compare football to hockey though you can draft 6 starters in one year and teams let starters go every year for nothing.
Not as easy in the NHL. - Pegullaville
Have to manage cap well and beane has been great at that. Botts has bungled it so far with bad contracts |

Beane is killing it. Funny but he seems to start work at 8pm
Jefferson is severely underrated. PFF sucks but had him the 18th rated DT last year (had Phillips 64). Phillips put up gaudy sack totals, but Jefferson had a lot more QB pressures and was great, not just good, but great vs the run. Phillips was atrocious vs the run.
Butler was a big disappointment for a 1st rd pick until last year, his contract year (sounds a lot like Lawson). He’s a huge man who had 6 sacks last year. - turbo044

GM is responsible for his assistant GM’s, he also hires or has input on his pro and amateur scouts for the most part and I would think ultimately makes the decision on the pick itself (at least the first 2-3 rounds). |

A lot of the bills signings are 2 year deals ..... if josh takes off. That money is his and those players don’t return. |

So the Sens have the first confirmed case of the virus and a couple others with symptoms. They used the same locker room the Nets used the night before in LA. Nets have 4 confirmed cases among their players. |

It's been 27(?) years since a super bowl appearance. Bills fans deserve to be a little greedy. I might even like that team if it wasn't for their stupid name. Bills and Browns are the dumbest names in sports. |

Him or Akers will be there. That DE from ND Okwara looks intriguing he could be there. Hall or Winfield jr, Mimms jesus Tee Higgins could be there at 54. Beane has set himself up nice for his draft. |

Think it's safe to assume we have our linebackers (Klein Edmunds Milano), our DEs (Lawson Addison and their backups) and corners (White Norman Wallace Johnson) pretty much set. Our tackles are set too. Phillips, Star, Jefferson, Oliver, Taylor, Butler.
Not sure any of these spots need to be addressed in free agency other than a vet RB. Too bad Howard signed with Miami, but Carlos Hyde is pretty similar. Think you bring back Waddle for rotational RT. Wouldn't hate it. After finding the change of pace back, think you look for at least one WR, LB, DE, CB, S and maybe a QB.
First two picks, I go for LB an WR, not necessarily in that order.
I'm starting to see why Beane was comfortable giving up the later first. We don't have any massive holes in the starting lineup. The draft picks can all be filler and have at least 1 to 2 years to develop. Right now, this roster is in a strong position. |
