It’s kind of like how everyone is prepared for a fight until you get hit in the mouth, except it was a bus that came out of nowhere and hit you during a stroll in the park.

It was Politics buzz on this site for quite some time as everyone drowned their sorrows during the “worrisome trend”. It went from Liberal hoax and “fake news” to travel bans within a week. I’m sure if we all backroad all 90 pages of that previous blog we’d find some doozies.

Everyone kept debating fatality rates but always missed the big picture, it may not be as fatal as the seasonal flu, however it strikes fear and is more transmissible.

Economies will feel the impact of this for a while and it will take 3-5 years to get back to the levels we’ve seen in the markets. Does it matter how fatal a disease is if millions of people get infected ? The death counts will add up. Nobody talks about how Italy had the 2nd ranked health care system and got absolutely rocked.

Many countries world wide should have taken this much more seriously when it first came out, not just the U.S

No county knew what was coming. By the time truth came out the world was playing catch-up. No county is prepared for a global pandemic of this magnitude.
