Rough going here in the Pigeon Forge area for the restaurants...
- rapperray

Would u say your little town is over saturated with bars & restaurants?

If so,
many probably weren’t making enough to be able to withstand this
Places will lose thousands in inventory alone
Not to mention a month, probably longer, being closed
And then still have the $$$ to purchase new inventory to reopen

I’ve seen predictions that expect around 50% of independently owned (no chains) bars & restaurants to close

That’s devistating
Especially considering all the jobs ppl won’t have to go back to

Once this is over with,
I’m opening a place as soon as possible

In talks to potentially buy another place

And have ppl who want to open 2 other places

I’ll do 1 at a time to be safe financially
But there’s a lot of ppl that are gonna be struggling big time even once things get “back to normal”

Lol...
Again... that’s about his ridiculous spray tan
I hardly see that as a “racist” comment

he's a narcissist and a fraud...his true colors are coming to the for...his actions are moronic and when he speaks at these pressers he's like Chumley trying to explain relativity to scientists...

his act is old and it's run it's course

- Michael Pachla

He gives it to experts, and if you didn't dislike him so, you'd see some very dry humor in many of his offerings. I wonder how any of us would come off; being extremely rich and powerful??

The thing is that with Dollywood being here there are tons of restaurants, theaters, and amusement parks here. We rely on the 10 million tourists that come here and to Gatlinburg each year. So far most restaurants have stayed open mostly for takeout but there are some people who still are going there to eat. Fortunately for this area it is Dolly Partons hometown and she tends to try to bail the place out in times of trouble. After the wildfires destroyed hundreds of homes in 2016 she donated millions to help people rebuild...

No kidding. I haven't seen this much name calling since the second grade. Or since Bob DeNiro last opened his mouth.

I disagree with urban dictionary then

Calling him a Cheeto is clearly reference to his spray tan & not his RACE (white)

I’d bet a lot of those places will close
And then new ones will open eventually once the tourists start coming back

A lot of ppl will be looking for jobs in the meantime though

Yeah ... it couldn't have hit at a worse time... Jan. and Feb. are the annual down months and March is usually when the tourists start to dribble back in... The traffic is usually a female dog but it is noticeably lighter...

Great point. The timing truly sucks

Jan & Feb are generally the slowest months for bars & restaurants up here too
Being just after Xmas shopping season, and then the weather getting pretty cold, sales drop about 50%
Now they’re roughly at zero for the next month or 2 (at least)

I’m gonna be ok
But i know A LOT of ppl who are gonna struggle big time

Ppl will definitely take to the streets again
But i doubt it’ll last long with everyone broke from not working

A big chunk of the bar/restaurant industry is supported by the ppl who work in bars/restaurants

Then there will eventually be slow, gradual growth in the industry

I’m sure people will jump at the chance to work for someone that can’t stand others have a different opinion about things, and than continues to run his mouth for months on end about it... but maybe that just me, in either case best of luck.
