So it was just the Boston press... you KNOW this right?
He lasted same # years in Calgary. That was a coincidence I'm sure...
So two players is a "habit"? Ok bud. - Nasty_Duck
Thornton, Kessel, Savard, Seguin, Hamilton. |

Is there really any other as bad as Stephane Beauregard and a 4th round pick for Dominik Hasek? - Mentalorgasm5
Heard Mike Keenan speak about this. After making the trade Buffalo put Haskell on waivers and the Hawks claimed him (no other team put in a claim). The NHL would not let it happen because of a rule stating teams couldn't claim a player they traded. |

Yes, just like the Rockies and Devils. - jmatchett383
Holy crap! The Devils won the CUP right after they moved to another city? Just like the Nords - I mean Avalanche? Wow - is that ever a coincidence.

Thought that was Gregory Campbell...
But you are correct - without Gregory Campbell we would not have won the CUP - League would have called waaaaay more penalties on us if he wasn't on our roster.
- Nasty_Duck
It was Greg Campbell.
Peverley is the guy who died on the bench. |

He was in a platoon with Toskala before he was traded, right
If I recall they had Nabby waiting in the wings & couldn't decide on who would be the backup. That pick from Calagary turned into Vlasic |

Peverley was key to winning the cup, and the Bruins werent gonna pay wheeler. We might have won two if he hadnt broken his leg in one of the toughest hockey shifts I've ever seen. - 77emac77
Wrong player...
Also wasn’t even in 2011 |

I never said they did. I simply implied that you, as a knowledgeable fan, should have known the the Quebec franchise relocated and renamed itself prior to winning a Stanley Cup.

Thornton, Kessel, Savard, Seguin, Hamilton. - RogerRoeper
They traded Kessel because of CAP issues. They could not keep both Kessel and Krecji. Pretty sure Bruins made the right choice there.
You should stick to predicting the CAP will be a ba-jillion dollars in 2 or 3 years...
(make it 2 ba-jaillion if we're talking Cdn) |

I wasn't upset or angry or whatever... and that last emoti should have signaled that.
However - my using the Nords name was fine IMO opinion since they won the CUP the year after they moved - hence my "the same team".
Your comparison with the Devils move is not close - they won the CUP 10 years later - not the same team.
But you win...

Why is Savard on this list? - Mahewman
Because he was a jerk for getting in the way of Matt Cooke's shoulder. |

I liked Marty Lapointe alot. He was tough and could score a big goal every now and then. Holland offered him 3 mil AAV and Boston gave him 5. I shook my head. - gergeswillems
LaPointe was instrumental to Bergeron's development early on. Worth every penny now. |

Thornton, Kessel, Savard, Seguin, Hamilton. - RogerRoeper
Only Kessel has won anything post Boston. I remember Hamilton getting owned last year by Boston. They haven't missed him at all. |

According to Bergeron, yes. Also lived with him early on when he barely spoke english. I understand that doesn't correlate directly from AAV but players seem to hold LaPointe in high regard for reasons like that. |

It's Seguin for Eriksson, Morrow, Smith & Cunningham. It was flippant response to losing a very winnable game 6 to Chicago in the finals.
Wayne Gretzky's dog poop brother Keith was quoted as saying something like "If was half of Kane we would have won the cup" Hey! If I was 1/1000th of one Patrick Kane's pubic hairs I would've at least played for a D1 University.
Eriksson 2 good years and no longer with the team.
Morrow sucked. Total bust.
Smith found his game after Boston (another youth wrecked by Julien).
Cunnigham Kinda liked him real shame what happened.
There is literally nothing to show for this trade. Nothing.
Chiarelli should be excommunicated from anything of or relating to Hockey. He proved is it possible to graduate Harvard and also be a (frank)ing imbecile. Neely should have been immediately fired and jumped in alley near Causeway St. |
