Actually, Cam Neely and a first for Barry Peterson
- 77emac77
You should have circled the top one - Neely a HUGE steal.
Don't forget Martin Jones netted us a first rounder and Sean Kuraly...

That was horrible for Hartford. Great for the Pens though. - gergeswillems
In fairness, Cullen had a really terrific run until he got sick and Z was a pretty good prospect who didn't work out. It didn't seem so lopsided when it was made. Cullen was in the middle of a 100+ pt season but was made expendable only because Mario had returned from back problems. Francis was seen as more of a 2-way second line guy.
Francis had a rare mid career advance and sustained it a lonnng time. |

Jaromir Jagr, along with defenseman František Kučerah to the Washington Capitals for three prospects, Kris Beech, Michal Sivek and Ross Lupaschuk. - BeefCoon
It didn't work out for Washington. Inside the org he became "Albatross". He had a resurgence with the Rangers , but everyone remembers his extended golden years tour. |

unfortunately for flyers fans I have to go with this one
June 23rd 2012
Toronto Maple Leafs Acquire
James Van Reimsdyk
Philadelphia Flyers Acquire
Luke Schenn
Schenn did not meet his potential in the NHL unfortunately and Van Reimsdyk became a 30 goal scorer for the Leafs. |

Francis was coming off of a 101 point season and was on pace for another one at the time of the trade. He produced at 1.15 ppg in Hartford and 1.15 ppg in Pittsburgh, so....
Yes he was viewed as more of a 2-way player, but everybody knew how good he was.
Cullen was supposed to be the big piece coming back, but played only one full season in Hartford and was never the same player again.
Parker played 4 NHL games period after the trade.
Ulf was Ulf. |

Worst trade in NHL history...still remember how people were so enamored with Chiarelli that they defended it for years. |

I love this Millbury quote after trading Luongo and Oli Jokinen for Parrish and Kvasha
"In the end, we thought the quality that DiPietro will bring is just a notch above Luongo. If we're wrong, we may have made an unbelievable mistake. It'll be bonehead city. It's my job. If we're not a better team immediately, off with my head. I've been here five years, and I'm tired of losing.
Milbury then gave DiPietro a 15 year contract with Wang's blessing. Milbury is a buffoon |

A bottom-pair dman for a 2nd line winger is the "most lopsided" ever? It's a bad trade no doubt, but look at the Lindros trade if you wanna bash the Flyers. |
