I ordered from our local diner last night - burger and chicken wrap. Young woman and her husband own it. It’s been through 8 or 9 owners since we’ve lived here. I really like these people. Mostly older clientele. Left them $100 tip cause I want them to make it.

I’m sure you’ve got a plan Bobby but I bet there’s a lot of people who want to make sure you make it and who are willing to do takeout from you reach out and get your friends to start reaching out for you. Don’t waste your time on us

Do you recall when the AIDS epidemic first hit, the mantra was that you are sleeping with everyone your partner ever slept with. The messaging was mocked but it did hit home.

With COVID-19, you are interacting with everyone the people you interact with have interacted with. So when you meet with 5 people or 10 people, everyone at their homes, or every store clerk or other people in the dog park that they have interacted with are also passing on germs. Under normal conditions who gives a poop. When you have a heavily contagious virus that doesn't show itself for several does, then it does matter.

No, you shouldn't see your friends. No, you shouldn't interact at the dog park. Social isolation is Isolating yourself from being social. There's no hidden meaning in that term.

It is absolutely awful and it absolutely sucks. But except for what you essentially require like groceries and hookers&blow, you shouldn't see anyone else.

My kids' birthdays are this week (Monday past, and Monday coming), and they are not seeing anyone. The parties will happen hopefully in May.

No one is happy about it, but it's how you contain the virus.

Bear in mind that when you overload the medical system, it affects everyone - not just Coronovirus patients. Critical care suffers at every level.

you have to understand why people are asking this from you and, if you don't comply with these new very strict rules, accept that you will end up in jail.

LOL, I am not. I'm being cautious for a few weeks or a month to try and slow the spread of this thing. I go for 3 one hour walks a day with my dog. I wash my hands 10 times a day because it can help, and certainly can't hurt. I go to the store if I need something. I go to the post office if I need to mail something. I go to LCBO when I run out of booze.

But if I don't NEED it, I stay as low key as possible.
Trading my car in tomorrow for a new one... Doing all the things I need to do, just being careful not to make the situation worse.

I have no solutions for you either, unfortunately. It's an awful time where there are a lot more questions than there are answers, and there are too many questions to be dealt with in the time that people need the answers - which I think is where you are now.

I can't pretend to know your situation; I would hope that the banks and parties you rent from would have the decency to work with you to find a solution that can be dealt with after the virus is dealt with. I don't know if wasted food is covered under insurance (it is for black outs, but this is different). If you can't find common ground with these people, social media is your friend. I'd imagine the backlash against companies that can't find ways to help one another during this time of crisis will be pretty severe.

Have you tried your MP? They are likely overburdened as well, but it's an option.
