I know this is not the time, but I’m on my deck, sitting in the sun, slowly getting drunk listening to Kenny’s greatest hits.
At this particular moment, life is ok. |

Well the waivers part is not correct, other than that the price would be a bargain compared to his current value. - neem55
Oh? Do enlighten us then on how he wouldn’t have had to clear waivers before reporting to the 🔥. |

No, you are not correct. Google it if you want the full read, but: - NewYorkNuck
Huh, well that’s just stupid af. How can you offer sheet a player and then they end up on waivers. Makes zero sense. I believe you that due to the lockout this was technically the rules but there’s no way it would’ve gine down like this due to the circumstances. They would have miffed the rule as this wasn’t the intention of the rule, rather the result of the lockout. |

It’s a rule about players who play in European leagues (as free agents) and want to come back to the NHL mid season. The same thing happened in 2011, when Detroit signed Nabokov mid season, and before he could report, the Islanders claimed him off waivers. |

Exactly. The intention of the rule has nothing to do with a lockout. Because it was a lockout, not a player coming midseason, it would have been waived. |

No, it wouldnt have been waived. - Reubenkincade
Why? The intention of the rule was to not gain unfair advantage after x games. Games x hadnt been played. |

What’s there to worry about? Practice safe distancing from others but you can still enjoy things. |

We planted 2 more Japanese maples and a magnolia.
Two beers, 2 jazz cigarettes and now I'm pounding vodka & sodas. |

Thank god for alcohol’s ability to make life bearable. You got citrus for those vodka & sodas? |

You are so naive. You probably think each team will get a compliance buyout whenever they reconvene.
It only applies to players who signed contracts, and played in other leagues. |
