This is just the beginning for us in Canada, it’s going to get much worse before it gets better. From what I’ve been told by Nurses, is, there’s a lot more cases than what’s being reported. June/July will be peak for us. - Pacificgem
It will end just in time for Flu season to take over . |

Next January, we might start coming out of this. |

I disagree, I've read studies from the UK that modelled COVID-19 and unless martial law is declared and hospitals are closed to all but the worst patients, nearly 1 million could die in NA alone. This is gonna last for at least 18 months until they roll out a working tested vaccine. |

I don’t know your background but your disagreeing with frontline medical professionals? |

Because frontline medical professionals aren't researching COVID-19, they're focused on just trying to keep patients (and themselves alive). What researchers are saying is that unless people are forced to stay home, even after June/July there could easily be a rebound of retransmisison if all the restrictions are lifted. |

Oh you have no idea, sorry, but you don’t. They are being inundated with seminars and information daily. The only reason I know this is because I’m doing some work for island health.

This ain't true Darius. Island health are telling us new information minute by minute, not hour by hour or day by day. Its constantly changing due to the new pull of stats and research. |

My sister-in-law is a ER nurse at Kelowna General, so yes, I have an idea. Am I an authority on this? Of course not, but since my wife has bad asthma and I am immuno-compromised due to having survived cancer, better believe I'm reading everything I can about COVID-19 |

My wife's niece and her husband work for a research lab out by UBC. They have been working on a vaccine since early January. Their lab got a blood sample from one of the first cases in California and discover hundreds of antibodies within days. The lab has working on a vaccine since then. Scientists and doctors have been on this for months. The cure is not coming out next week but a lot of people are working on it around the clock.
Keep slapping down the doom-dayers and other f*cktards. |

I've heard this as well, blood samples from fully recovered patients to analyze the antibodies. People are researching, people are trying, and people are exhausted. We have people working on the situation now, and people working on the future. It's just hard for everyone right now |

Tough go out there gents, i chose to go home to the small island of gabriola for quarantine where im happy to say the community is taking it really seriously.
In some lighter news, here’s a look at how Canucks have finally turned a corner in terms of scoring depth. We’re still a year or two away from being a serious threat, but got to love the direction. Also, trading JV is donkey talk i say! https://www.google.ca/amp...rent-20-goal-scorers/amp/ |

Yup Jake will get his 20 next year playing on Sutter and Beagles line
Canucks have too many forwards . Pick the ones that stay and pick the ones that won't
You could build a solid package to get a pretty good Dman that is needed. |

Anyone on the front lines who says they have no idea what they’re treating is either lying or an idiot.
Stay safe and hopefully this passes sooner than later!! |

Geez Darius I'm sorry for your situation but credible sources my friend. There is a lot of fear smearing and mongering by the media. Careful. |

ironic considering you've never provided any sources (credible or otherwise) for your information. |
