I am not disagreeing . I do think his two years in the KHL will speed some of the process. He will start on the third line probably and work his way eventually to top 6 when the time is right.

I am excited to see what the team does this off season. This could be an exciting off season league wide. A couple teams have some clear advantage like the AVs Bos Rangers . I heard Dillon say last week on SN650 his favorite team growing up was Canucks , I am hoping Bening can convince him and Barrie to take a home town discount for one year or two.

After Hughes, Edler & Myers I think it’s wide open.

Edler has one more year , I wonder what the plans are for him? He is the best defensive guy but the scoring has dropped . I am not sure if it is time to move on.

Yes - thanks for continuing to visit the blog and drive conversation. Much appreciated!

My new blog's up, hopefully with some good vibes — and an update on the Canucks' CHL prospects now that the junior hockey season is officially over.

I’ve been looking through the Canucks all-time stats to try and figure out who our best ever defenceman is, stipulation is you must have played 400+ games with the franchise, so a good healthy contribution and sample size. I just can’t bring myself to say Alex Edler is that guy. It’s not a great list and a major downfall for the Canucks.

I’d have to go with 1) Jovo 2) Lumme 3) Õhlund 4) Edler 5) Lidster

Ohlund would be number 1 on mine. Jovo probably 4. He was pretty bad near the end of his days here.

Best of luck! It's the parents with kids who I really feel for, it must be tough for them to understand what the heck is going on. Let me know if want me to yell at anyone in here specificly.

I’ve been watching all those sign language people and they all make the strangest faces when doing it....WTF?

Getting up there. Hard to top Hitler though. But at least Hitler had the decency to kill Hitler.
