I think he’s talking Hannibal’s face mask. The one he wore while being transported.
Edit - hockey protective gear gets a bad rap. |

Ah. Hannibal Lecter wasn’t really the scary character. He was more a dark protagonist. Buffalo Bill was the scary character...
Edit, which mask? The hockey mask, or the mask made out of a dude’s face... |

Yeah, the ambulance scene is classic. That and the night vision scene got screams out of the theatre crowd that I watched with. |

Yeah, read both, the Tooth Fairy!
Have you seen the original film with William Peterson as Will Graham? It’s a Michael Mann film, very Miami Vice. |

A while ago for both the book and the movie. I remember the movie being very dry and dark. The book not so much. |

There has only been the one movie to ever scare the crap out of me . I watched SOTL and thought Hanibal played his part well but didn't scare me. Freddy Kuger , Chucky , Michael Myers (Friday movies) meh
I did find the movie No Country for Old Men a good thriller but did not scare me. |

For sure, but it’s much like Seven. Crime thriller. Actually the Exorcist book read like a crime thriller as well. Come to think about it, there’s loads of books/movies that mash up those genres. Misery, Psycho, etc. - bloatedmosquito
The thriller type horror are the best. The Thing was always a good one. |
