It doesn't explain the people who vote for him. - Marwood
What? White supremacists, survivalists, white trailer park trash and white hillbilly inbred hicks and other assorted alt-right morons? I thought they were self-explainatory. |

I guess I was naive in under-estimating they represent the voting majority. |

This thing is going to destroy our economies, USA & Canada, millions of young people between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age will still be digging us out of this in a decade. I feel bad for them. |

Not the majority... just enough to win the Electoral College which is what elects the President. |

Holtby, Crawford has won a cup . - VANTEL
Crawford has lost his job two years in a row. Holtby is not worth the price, he’s going for north of 7 i would guess. Crawford is a easy one to pass on imo |

All hail The Pumpkin King. When that large a percentage of a country's population is as stupid as his base, perhaps the citizens no longer deserve the right to vote.
Democracy had a pretty good run. - YeOldTimer
A lot of people in the US hoping Trump continues to not take it seriously, at least in his personal life. |

I saw his speech on the potential damage to the economy, someone had to voice that opinion in their meetings, I do agree that there has to be some tipping point when the lives of hundreds of millions takes precedence over the lives of thousands. It’s such a strange time. |

Pence wouldn't be that much better... better hope that Biden wins in Novemeber or the US will be (frank)ed permanently. |

I was laying pipe like Johnny Holmes at 19, WTF is that kid thinking - Pacificgem
Maybe he is too, just not with multiple partners. Could be that he's formed a solid bond, and that with someone who hasn't ridden the carousel for 7-10 years, taking all kinds of strange "pipe" as it were... |

Are you serious dude? The economy can eventually recover, not being able to flatten the curve in the US has the potential to kill upwards over a million people and that's just from people dying from the virus alone, that doesn't include the toll from people who end up dying from what normally would be easily treatable issues that become fatal due to hospitals being overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients and with the doctors/nurses/health care professsionals get sick themselves and die. |

It's pretty f*cking obvious that when the world shuts down the economy and your portfolio will be affected. |

I find it beyond belief that the same people calling for old people to die to save the American economy have the audacity to call themselves “pro-lifers”.
When will this madness end? - bloatedmosquito
Who's calling for old people to die? Haven't heard anything like that. |

You have no clue about what goes on in the USA. I think Canadian media has brainwashed most people in Canada to think the USA is filled with rural racist hicks, and urban hipsters/ minorities. |

But the otherside is people cant pay rent or buy food cause they have no work and they cant provide and keep their children fed and safe. Its not as cut and dry as you think. Who decides who is more important young families who will probanly recover or elder people who might die. Nobody has an answer its just really poopty |

The system will change. What are they going to do? Kick us out of our homes so that nobody can buy them?
It's not a national or a regional thing, it's a global reset.
I've been wondering for a week how this is going to affect global food prices. In Canada we're fortuitous to have a grain surplus. We also likely have enough frozen and canned inventory to last for awhile.
Many of the people who harvest crops worldwide will have among the highest rates of infection and the poorest coverage IMO. Also, do you really want to be eating and handling food that gets handled my multiple people? Grow your own lettuces and tomatoes, pretty much avoid anything that gets "handled" at a market.
Spend some time in your garden instead of socializing. |
