funny that no one put Forsberg or Jagr on their all-time team. I guess they were past their prime when they played for the Flyers. |

If you want to win that Game 7, Forsberg over Lindros, IMO. |

Regardless of his limited time here... you simply cant have a must win GAME 7 roster that does not include Justin Williams. Period. - wcrogers78
You would be getting the Flyers (very young, still inexperienced and oft-injured) version of Willians. |

As a Nordique/Aves player, no doubt Forsberg was better than most Flyers' centers. Still put up solid numbers as a Flyer in limited time/games.
I just wouldn't trust a guy with styrofoam ankles in a do die over some of the other great centers this franchise has had. |

Justin Williams has to be worth the mention. He’s literally me game seven. Although short time here he had some magical late game moments with us |

I'd personally risk a Footpa recurrence over something like Stevens killing Lindros in 2000. |

How does a team lose a Stanley Cup Finals elimination game at home 8-0? That is absolutely pathetic.
Was Brian Propp on the 1990 Bruins, and 1991 North Stars? Losing 4 Cup Finals in 7 years seems almost impossible. . |

Fair point. I mean I wouldn't object if one wanted Forsberg or Jagr. Heck have Roenick in if you please. |

I don’t see how you leave off one of the best PP goal scorers for a “SOLID” overall player in Jeff Carter.
Gotta have Kerr in there, and as much as I like Handzus he’s not worth it either. - Wingdestroyer
I know carter is a scorer but you got to think all around and gave pk’s and pp personnel. |

Carter was a very good all around player. Strong defensively and could also play on the PK. That being said, I don't think I'd have him on my team. |

Propper played in 5 NHL All-Star Games but never had that elusive 50-goal or 100-point season. Played in 5 Cup Finals (3 with Flyers, 1 with Boston, 1 with Minnesota) but never got the ring.

Thats another trait I remeeber from those Bobby Clarke GM years - impatience with young forwards. Patrick Sharp comes to mind as well. I think if Couturier had come up during that regime, he would have been traded for an aging free-agent for the playoffs /push couple of years back. |

I forgot he was on the 1980 team. He was a very good player obviously. Since the initial expansion I wonder if there is a player who lost more Cup Finals without winning one. Can’t think of one off the top of my head |

Through the Clarke years and the Holmgren era, the Flyers were aggressive in trying to win. It was different. The Flyers had an advantage with money and you could trade and sign free agents more easily.
Think about all the good young players they had in the 80's. Where did they come from? |
