in regards to the blog

with lazar, I think we only need to keep 1 of girgens and larsson

vesey, I am fine keeping him

the rest, don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on your way out

- homiedclown

unless one of them is taking 1mil or less and is willing to be the 13th forward because we truely have 12 better players..

Reinhart is a good player, Draisatil is elite.

When you’re picking at the top of the draft, you should get elite.

can't control who murray drafted

pretty much every mock draft had reinhart 2

murray's backup plan was bennett, not leon

imagine the riot if we had sam bennett instead of leon or skunk?

You are 100% correct. Those organizations getting their share of the $1.2m should just decline it. It's just not enough.
- adambuffalo

Pray tell, kind sir, which businesses and how much?

ECMC alone could use a 1.2 million dollar donation, it's literally nothing in the grand scheme. FFS, a 300k grant to repair roads hardly covers 10% of the cities highway infrastructure, if that.

What?

I can understand wanting to feel good that the owners of my favorite sports franchises went above and beyond in helping the community in a time of crisis, but telling people what they should or shouldn't do with their own money is often a sign of envy.

- buffalofan19

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic, trying to tell me off, as if 1.2 million dollars is going to sh!t-all for anyone, FFS, Cuomo just said 3 BILLION dollars is about 1/10th of what New York City ALONE needs because of this crisis.

And here's me, supposed to line up to apply to PSE once this all blows over because they're such good people, those elite.

And after the past few weeks on here, Pegulaville should take over the mantle of "Beady Eyed Douche" because holy god damn are you truly a one of a kind ass.

I'll even give you this account, because you honestly earned it.

I loved that analogy about the Pegula's donations to Buffalo:

It would be like someone who makes 250,000 a year donating some rolls of toilet paper and having a news presser to boast about it.

Seriously, Terry is showing his hand.

Money is no object, my ass.

I'll take credit as the author.

Now that I find out the donation was split 3 ways, IF it was split 1/3 from Pegula's ($400k versus $1.2m); then the asshat standing up doing bows for donating a package of TP would be making
$1,080,000...
So think of Casey Middlestat announcing during the 6:00 news that he gave TP to the Buffalo City Mission.

Certainly an interesting concept. The league is rather shy about handing out compensatory draft picks though. I dont know what rule they could bend to make renegotiating happen though. They're all guaranteed deals, so once the buyout happens if you were re-signing that guy its like giving him two different checks for two jobs.
- Michael Ghofrani

Ya, no need to consider renegotiation to make it even between Teams and Players...Players bought out still get their full contract value, Team just gets Cap (Monopoly Money) relief.

They don't have a ton of depth, and he wasn't bad. I dont expect cost to be all that significant

He's not bad, he's just the most milquetoast player imo. He doesnt do anything exceptionally well. He's just there. He'll score occasionally but I find zero entertainment value in his game.

Idk, I'm firmly in the "let them all go and let's try something different" camp.

Not sure of your income, nor do I really care...but the point was to put it into perspective.
The $1.2m was the total from 3 donating organizations. IF Pegula donated 1/3 of it, $400k it would be like a person earning $65,000 giving $16.25.

$1.2m is alot of money to an organization no doubt.
Perspective is also fair game.

Ordinarily not opposed to that, but even at replacement level he's probably a better option than what's out there in FA. If there's a player to be had that doesnt cost much in cap or trade value im all for it.

Ideally, you'd replace him in house, but I don't see anyone remotely close to being able to handle that role.

Asplund's an intriguing option given his on ice results early in the year but not the bet I'd make if I was the GM heading into the last year of my contract.

I'm leading that campaign, joing has a monthly subscription fee...Same % as Pegula's gift.
Take your 2018 tax return, use the reported AGI and multiply by: 0.0024/12.

What makes it unsustainable? Regardless of toi he did shoot 13%. It could be that Bylsma and Housley's systems were the reason he didn't produce.
- adambuffalo

Disco Dan and Phil had him and Angry Larry in a purely defensive role. Ralph gave them much more o-zone starts

Girgensons actually had a higher percentage of ozone starts under disco than any other coach - including teddy

https://www.hockey-refere...g/girgeze01-advanced.html

49% and 45%

The first year under Housley was 44% It tanked the second year under housley (15%)

This year was 33% under Ralph

I occasionally forget he was a 2012(!!) draft pick. I've always felt there's more to his game but he's never really taken that next step.

Side note, did you get my PM?
