Ordinarily not opposed to that, but even at replacement level he's probably a better option than what's out there in FA. If there's a player to be had that doesnt cost much in cap or trade value im all for it.

Ideally, you'd replace him in house, but I don't see anyone remotely close to being able to handle that role.

Asplund's an intriguing option given his on ice results early in the year but not the bet I'd make if I was the GM heading into the last year of my contract.

I'll go on record as stating Vesey isn't needed here with Olofsson, Skinner, Mojo and Kahun all better.

Seems like retaining him is forcing him into a spot based on last season usage of LW-ers at other positions like Mojo at 2C and Kahun at 2RW due to having 6LWs and 10or11or12 NHL-capable Dmen.
Yes, both players can "play" there...however, it just isn't their optimal position, and a line higher than they should be. They are both better on line 3 against lesser competition.
Go get a 2C and 2RW between Trades and FA, that pushes those 2 into more optimal positions.

It’s a big deal for sure, but let’s keep perspective. We (US 327M) we’re always going to be higher then Italy (60M) Just based on population and how easily it spreads. This isn’t really news. Social distancing isn’t going to stop the virus, it’s going to slow the spread to not bog down hospitals all at once.

I counted 19 states right now with a grand total of just under 7 million restaurant employees...don't know exactly how many have been furloughed by my guess would be at least 80%...

saw somewhere on forbes this morning that the unemployment number could hit 5-6 million at the end of march...

the question I have is this, the feds asked the states not to publish unemployment numbers...why?

A ton of restaurant workers work under the table too, and they've been saying to keep employees if they could because the stimulus would include money for wages if employers keep their employees, which it does. That's going to wipe out a lot of the would-be unemployment seekers.

We are higher then them right now. Also tested more then them so far. Who knows what their real numbers are though. They didn’t report all their tests and I’m sure not their confirmed cases
