I thought that was a very reasonable package for J.T. Miller. Heck ask anyone the day of that trade and I’m sure most would have said that it was an overpayment (myself included)

Miller then went and had an incredible year for Vancouver which I don’t think anyone could have foreseen. He was a perfect fit on PP1 and on the top line with Pettersson (who is going to be this decades Datsyuk).

If the kid hits the gym and builds up the man strength needed to play in the NHL at his height then he’ll be a very productive complimentary player.

I see the potential in Thompson in spurts, I know many here have soured on him but I still want to see him have one more year to go.

I was surprised the Canucks gave up a 1st round pick for Miller, but he did have 72 (27 goals - 45 assists) points in 69 games this season, he just turned 27, and he's only making $5.25M for the next 3 seasons.

It was an overpay at the time of the trade that ended up working out great

He still should’ve went for a 2nd + (at the most)

All I’m saying is that i hope teams don’t make it easy on Tampa
