Prob not. But why aren’t these guys getting criticized? Way worse. These were only two weeks ago and they are encouraging people to spread the virus when the crisis was well underway

Ask Homie, he facilitated the discussion.

The political discussion has been going on since the beginning of this virus and my question was much broader than hockeybuzz. Leave homie out if it.

I look forward to the day that this virus is a thing of the past and hopefully not many more lives are lost.

I look forward to the day I can feel comfortable investing in something other then ETF’s that short the market, and everyone’s 401K’s can prosper again.

I also look forward to watching the Sabres in their Royal Blues next year and debating sports again on this website everyday.

Last but not least, I look forward to a time when we are not at each other’s throats on here everyday because this team finally has enough talent that we are all united in cheering for them in the playoffs instead of debating on the best ways to get out of this funk we are in.

I am an a$$hole and approve this message.

it's actually been a pretty good discussion with little emotion or political intonations...

civility is a good thing

I didn't think stating OAN's North Carolina's report would blow anything up, just posting another "theory" out there; and also didn't know to state how Trump loves them would be so sensitive for some. I can't help what he likes/loves. He likes grabbing female's genitals too without their permission, ya know, not what I would do but he likes it.

florida will be an interesting case study with the students on spring break and the elderly population...plus they're finding that like the flu, warmth and humidity could slow the spread of covid-19
- Michael Pachla

Brazil is getting hit hard too. Their cases doubled from 1100 to 2200 in 3 days. MERS literally came out of the desert from camels which might not be humid, but is damn hot. It's easier to live in cold, dry air, but that doesn't mean it suffers in hot, humid air.

Not even a pandemic can stop Hizzoner’s gym rat routine.

Mayor Bill de Blasio spent more than two full hours working out at the Prospect Park YMCA in Park Slope Wednesday morning as the city faces down a coronavirus-fueled health crisis — and didn’t leave for work until 10:33 a.m.

“Ready to go!” de Blasio proclaimed cheerfully as he hustled into the workout center at 8:28 a.m.

His wife, Chirlane McCray, joined him for the sweat-fest around 9:15 a.m.

There are a few things that transcend party lines: arrogance, idiocy, and corruption chief among them. He (frank)ed up big time even when everyone was telling him to shut it down. They were always going to be (frank)ed with the population density, but he made it worse.

it's fall in the southern hemisphere, and that's a big worry...plus, from what I've gathered, bolsonaro isn't really taking this as serious as he should:

The equator runs through Brazil, it's always summer there. It's currently 74 with 80% humidity in Rio right now at 12:30am. And they're pretty far south. It's 82 and 81% in Fortaleza nearer the equator.

There aren't enough gloves to change them every time you touch something which you would have to do to not spread anything.

You've made my point for me. Where was your outrage when 80,000 people died from the flu in winter 2017/18?

It was non-existent, because the media didn't take the time to tell you why you should be outraged.

As I have said, of course we had to react. This is potentially a biologically engineered virus with no vaccine that kills people over 80 for fun. The government had to react.

My issue with all this hysteria is two-fold. First, when the government reacted with crushing, overwhelming restrictions on public life, as only a government can, a significant group of people just assumed it was all ok and actively shouted down those who dissented. Second, no one at either the state or government level stopped, took a breath, and actually considered how we could handle this without crashing the economy and causing everyone to lose their jobs.

I mean we're all free to lick the doorknobs at the local holiday inn if we so choose

If the assumption is that this is a dry run for a martial law type FEMA conspiracy, we're about 50 years too late to do anything about it. Your local police have military grade weaponry

I don’t give a (frank) if you are left, right, center whatever.

I’m not sure how anyone on the planet can defend the way this administration has handled this. It’s been a nightmare

A Gallup poll released Tuesday found 60% of Americans thought Trump was doing a good job of dealing with the pandemic, while 38% disapproved.

And an ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday found 55% approved of Trump's response, a 12-percentage-point improvement over the week before.

$1,200 checks, help for businesses: Here's what's in the historic stimulus package for coronavirus

Like the other polls, the Gallup results fell along party lines, but the survey found that Trump's job approval rating jumped 8 percentage points among independents and 6 points among Democrats from its previous poll. Gallup noted that was unusual for the president and attributed that climb to a "rally effect" often seen when the nation is in crisis.

And Trump's overall job approval rating has climbed in other polls as well. According to RealClearPolitics, his average approval rating is at 47%, the highest level of his presidency. Similarly, the polling site FiveThirtyEight has him at approval levels close to those he enjoyed during his first months in office.
