Like when they went to the eastern conference finals two years ago or the finals three years ago kinda breakthrough? Oh you mean the Flyers they have some playoff growing pains to go through, look good for a long time to come though. - neem55
Ya, like in the future break through the second round, they’ve got that experience now. |

In case anyone’s never heard of him, kid to keep an eye on. Regina will select him first overall in the WHL draft. Why must you be so difficult? Is it because you’re constantly in pain or high as a kite? - LeftCoaster

He’s 14 and granted exceptional status to enter the major junior draft. |

In three years I’d guess only NJ still sucking and Edmonton’s draft luck has dried up. |

All drafts are the same to me. - VANTEL
Well they’re quite literally not even close to the same for everyone involved. That’s why the composition of who is picked is different every year. In quinns year it was so many dmen and americans for example. Way different than other years. This year hardly any yanks. Much different types of talent. This next draft has one of the better goalie prospects in a long time. Each draft is composed of more of less nhl players. Some drafts end up with a lot, others with a lot of busts. We don’t have a 1st(maybe) or a second, so I don’t care much about this one but it is deeper than the last by all reports. |

Quinn Hughes and Pod fell in our laps . I am very thankful
Brock was a good pick
OJ was a terrible pick in a strong draft
Jake was an average pick in an above average draft.
Petey was a very good pick in a good draft.
I thought last years draft was over rated and wanted a Dman . The ones I wanted were all gone by the time we picked but I do think we got the best forward .
I think the draft gets overblown by a bunch of people claiming how strong it is . Most of those people have never seen most of the players in the first round play one game.
I like the draft but I think it is over hyped by people that don't know too much. |

But the under hyped aren't trying to sell it though. They will leave the draft to the GM .
Out of curiosity how many games have you watched Connor Beddard play so far? |

He is also 5'8 so the Connor McDavid comparison might be a stretch , maybe better to use a Jack Hughes comparison |

None, but I’m not the one projecting him to go 1st overall in the WHL draft or the governing body that granted him exceptional status to enter that draft....I leave that to the people in the know. Who have clearly saw something special in his game. |

Do you know how tall Connor McDavid was at 14? I wonder how tall his parents are. |

This is exactly my point . People who haven't even seen the player play driving up the hype.
Here is your earlier post . Connor Bedard, the next 1st overall pick in the McDavid class was just on Global news.
I have read some stuff on him earlier I never seen a McDavid comparison . Like I just posted the kid is 5'8. Not even close to McDavid's size .
The over hyping begins |

Boys tend to show the first physical changes of puberty between the ages of 10 and 16. They tend to grow most quickly between ages 12 and 15. The growth spurt of boys is, on average, about 2 years later than that of girls. By age 16, most boys have stopped growing, but their muscles will continue to develop.

He turns 15 in July be better hurry up and grow |

I didn’t say that, the news and people they interviewed did, that’s why he was on the news. - LeftCoaster
I wonder how many games the interviewer seen him play ? |

They interviewed his coach and quoted some scouts, I imagine all of them have seen him play, you just like to argue for the sake of arguing |

Connor McDavid was 5’9” at 14. I was 5’9” at 14, 6’2” at 16 and 6’4” by 18. It all depends on how big his parents are.

The article I read, had him compared to Sidney Crosby, a better overall player than McDavid.
Hopefully the Canucks tank his draft season. |
