I just watched a video by Hockey Night in Canada basically saying that whatever anyone comes up with as a solution for this years playoffs and cup will be flawed and people wont initially like the results.

I haven't played D&D since highschool. I miss though days
- Retinalz

Never got into D&D, but just dug through some boxes in the basement and pulled out my old BattleTech game with all the lead mech figures. Just teaching the boy how to play. Brings back memories from the 80's playing with friends. All ready got him up to speed playing Magic the Gathering as well.

I don't blame them for trying but I don't think it would be safe for gatherings in 4 weeks from now. Pile that on with the economy .

I don't think best case scenarios are going to work here or in sports and entertainment in general.

Making decks for M:tG is always fun, and yeah, unpacking from a move, I found all my books from the 80's and 90's. I found all my D&D stuff, my Olde World of Darkness books, Big Eyes Small Mouths (Anime-style Mecha/Shounen/Magical Girl RPG), Battletech and GURPS

I never reads Eks blog or comments but today has caught my eye because of the topic. Some interesting names and obvious names on the list.

I know Canucks go to is Loui but are you sure he is your buyout? He has two years left only.

I seen two nominations for Skinner and Turris seems to get the nod for Nashville

I think you mentioned Myers as a buyout candidate before. No way JB admits to yet another signing mistake. It would be Loui.

No way. If I was the owner and JB came to me saying Myers is the guy, I would fire his ass on the spot. How many signing mistakes can one GM make?

2 years left, but regular buyout proof contract, if they get a free buyout you gotta use it on him because otherwise that's a huge drag on cap space even if you dump him in Utica for the rest of his term.

He is the obvious but I am looking long and hard at Myers term and length. I do believe you are right though.

If the season can resume or jump straight into the PO’s....

Try to equalze games played?
Expand PO’s to 20 teams?
- wild card round best of 3?
- best of 5 til Division Finals?

Some of my ideas but I prefer the latter mainly due to the expected time crunch.

That’s not going to happen. They will announce the cancellation of this season soon, and I bet you next season won’t start in time, if at all. The US is a mess, in the exponential phase. There won’t be professional sports any time soon

I was wondering about that too. E sports is huge so why not play real sports to empty stadiums and arenas for broadcasting rights

I just think they'll have security, cameramen and broadcaster along with officials and players. Chartered flights.

I bet the TV experience gets creative.

I don’t know. With pro athletes now testing positive, and such close contact in sports, I could see the lay-off lasting until the new year, if not beyond.

Myers isn't a mistake even, he's just slightly overpaid. Will he become a mistake? Maybe, but that's yet to be seen. D always hold more value than forwards too, so even if he starts to slip he can be more easily offloaded.

Loui all the way. Myers can still play, and improves the team. Loui is a black hole.

Maybe, but he could also make a case that the virus has changed the cap outlook.

I guess it depends, I mean if all teams and officials test clear in a couple of months then why not?

I just think it's more reasonable to expect 50 people to gather for a game of hockey than 20,000.
