Let's say the NHL doesn't continue this season (I'm guessing it won't). I wonder if they've discussed the playoff contenders that traded a bunch of assets/draft picks for UFA rentals who will most likely walk. Are those teams basically screwed ? Interesting topic.

It is interesting.
The Athletic had an article that discussed it a bit...NJ Devils have several trades that had conditions attached and would be the most impacted. It is difficult to unwind alot of the trades that were made. I'm not sure how they could make all parties whole.

Idk what they could do?
If they revert the trades, then it would screw teams into not getting anything for the UFAs they aren’t gonna be able to retain

I think it’s just bad luck for those teams that made deals
