Lockdowns are not the first answer.

Lockdowns are the answer when the problem got so big because there weren't tests to tell us where the virus was, and we let it circulate in places we were unaware it was festering.

He listening to Fauci and Brix about testing in the middle of March, and guess what, their starting to circulate and be supplied now. Imagine if he would have listened to them in the beginning of February, or even at the end of December when WHO said it would be a problem. Maybe we would be in South Korea's curve instead of Italy's.

You mean when the CDC said they had their own tests ready to go, and we find out the Chinese Test had a 47% false-negative rate. Only 5o find the CDC's tests failed when delivered to the test processing labs, so they had to scrub them and start anew.

But leaving decisions about who gets medical supplies to private corporations whose only incentive is profit motive is his fault.
And having his medical experts say "there is no reason we don't have a broader stay at home order" and failing to implement one is his fault.
And having his experts say, "We think everyone should wear a mask when they're in groups of people" and then saying "But I'm not doing it." is his fault.
And promising to have billions of dollars available to individuals within weeks but not knowing how to get it to them is his fault.
And promising that companies would be able to get emergency loans today from any bank they asked - but not understanding that it is illegal to make loans on that basis and has been ever since 9/11, as anybody who has any familiarity with any bank lending practices knows,

That would kill way more people than the virus would. Too many people need life saving drugs, plus all the alchies would go into DTs and that would kill a fair amount of them as well.
