Trying means something totally different to you and darren dreger than it does to me.
Maybe he'll super duper try and actually do something about this 2-year old problem this summer. I'm not holding my breath - jcragcrumple
His “lack of moves” got us Cozens and another top 10 pick.
I’m very happy to be here.
Now I’m on your wavelength. Time to win now. |

69pts 2016-17
67pts 2017-18
54pts 2018-19
I would take those numbers, especially working with Skinner because he can dish the puck - Buff36
U conveniently left out this past year’s stats where he had a whopping 13assists
He hasn’t played Center in forever
Bad option at 2C
And there’s better choices at RW |

Yeah maybe he won’t land one idk. But the actual reality is he tried to land Vincent Trocheck who’s a legitimate 2C. So the idea he’s unwilling or unaware of the issue to address it is false.

Know I didn't cause the season was halted and had 17 goals to go with those 13 assists, and hasn't been the same since he got traded to Nashville. But with the right linemates I believe he could get back to averaging over 40 assists. |

The offer, from what I gathered, did not include Mittelstadt. I don't view that as a competitive offer.
The most common pieces I've heard were Miller and Asplund
JB is gonna continue bargain shopping for forwards - jcragcrumple
Did u see what Trocheck got moved for?
Didn’t need to use Mitts to have an offer that was competitive |

Never said 2C, he can play C. And what option are you talking about at RW. |

Maybe. Or maybe he just keeps nailing these under the radar trades like Joker and Kahun. Skinner too. I’ll remain on the positive side that he know he needs to address the situation this offseason considering all signs point in that direction |

How many points Skinner had is irrelevant to whether or not Garnlund played well |

I think what Joker did this year as a 20 year old d-man was pretty impressive. - Pegullaville
Certainly early. I don't know if he got worn out, or it was a result of seeing better competition, but he wasn't as good the last couple months. Lots more rookie mistakes. If he was 25 I'd be worried, but at 20 I'm not. |

They both had off years, so is Skinner trending down. Cause Skinner has never had over 65 pts and Granlund has done it twice in the last 4 years, And there the same age. |

Was there any idea of what was actually offered? They thought it was "better" doesn't do anything for me. |

Don’t know specifics. But a few people “in the know” have said they believed the Sabres offer was better.
It was also reported by those same people that Risto was involved in a lot of discussions too and will continue in the summer. Presumably for a forward
I get thinking Botterill needs to go. I’m half there.
But I just can’t really agree with the narrative that he only will do bargain bin shopping on the forward position and there’s just no way he will get a significant piece.
It’s just not a reality. The Sabres know moves have to be made |

What's the first move the Sabres make when we actually get back to hockey. - Buff36
They hire harvard graduate brian burke as team vp of hockey operations. A step above jbotts.
Have botts focus on managing generally with a experienced nhl guy to oversee his mistakes.
Similiar to Doug whaley being transitioned over to mcbeane. |

Skinner’s down season is a concern, but explainable due to playing with mediocre centers
Granlund played in the top6 (with good talent) and had more icetime than any other forward
So why the down season for him?? |

It's just tough to think he's really swinging hard, even his good moves have been minor. Skinner for scraps, same with Kahun and Jokiharju. It's entirely possible I'm projecting what I see for what he actually is, but I see the ROR trade and the blowback, and all the subsequent moves have been incredibly low-risk, even if he took advantage of a GM that lost his mind in Kahun and Jokiharju.

Everyone has down years, and it's not like Duchene was tearing it up and Forsberg was having a decent year. He struggled after the trade, maybe not the best system for him. |
