I understand the sentiment, but the reality is that even if that were to happen, that money would mostly stay in the pockets of people even richer than they are. There's very little chance that money makes its way into communities.

It's not just the minutes increase, its the quality of teammate as well. this is why points is dangerous as an evaluative measure, because line to line it can vary greatly for someone.

If hintz saw a minutes increase but still saw the same usage and teammates his growth in point totals might have been X+1. But if he goes back to centring top six players and getting more meaningful usage, His numbers might have been x+2

That's why I dont factor the scoring rate in when i say on the cusp of stardom. What leads me to make that claim is that his isolated impact in terms of shot rates, chances created etc. Are all already clicking at a near first line level.

Sorry to pull this back up so far down. But I always see this argument, if only he had better linemates, or team usage. There's a hidden variable here, that is a complete unknown, which is how well a player would do against the better competition at a higher rate then they currently see. A player may kill it on the third line, even with subpar linemates, as they generally will see third line quality players from the other team (I understand it's not 1st line against first line all the time, but I feel this holds true across the board for MOST, not all, most players). This isn't a knock against any particular player, just the thought that he's dominating X position, if only he was in Y position he'd be that much better.

Last week Tuesday my son says to me “Dad, I don’t want to live with Mom anymore. She’s never home and I spend most of the time with my aunt. Is it ok if I just stay with you full time?”

Thursday he says “Dad when all this quarantine rubbish is over and the bar gets back to normal, I’d like to learn to cook rather than dishwash. Can I?”

Needless to say I had a pretty good week last week. He’s 16 and has finally seen the light.

Both points are valid, QoTM and QoC, with QoTM probably outweighs QoC slightly for the reason you state. I would think more TOI would be a bigger factor all things being equal.

That's cool, and I think that goes with seeing how hard you have worked. My son is 15 and he goes around cutting lawns and shoveling driveways to get extra cash. I was told money doesn't grow on trees, you want extra get a paper route or cut lawns, my dad was tough on me, trying not to be that hard on my son, but just trying to instill some pride in him

I'm just shocked at the rather constant hatred of those older by certain individuals, it has clearly become evident in several comments, normally in heated discussions.
