The thing that worries me the most is if another virus comes along in a decade from now, we're going to go through this charade all over again, even if the results are less severe. Hell, it may not even take a virus, just some overblown gang on a crime spree. We're a country of precedent. We were told to stop working, stay at home and do nothing for an inordinate amount of time, and we as a society ate it up, so much so that if anyone gave a dissenting opinion, they got shouted down, particularly by the Social Media Mob. And as a result, our economy has come to a complete stop. Don't think that the people with enough power and influence aren't taking notes.

It won't be a virus next, it will be climate change I guarantee it. How an invisible unknown can paralyze a country while we keep seeing what government run modeling tells us with absolutely no type of auditing behind it. The economic fallout from this will be 10x more damaging than the health crisis. The financial crisis of 08-09 was bad, and that was because of one business sector, now imagine a crisis because of all business sectors making up our economy. There will be a point when temporary becomes permanent with regards to the economy, and I think that would start to happen if the country is still shut down like this in May. I would rather learn to live with this than to take my family to a breadline.
