I think the NHL will be giving the teams a buyout. They are going to lose 400 mil this year in revenue and after they announce the cap was going up have to take that back.
They have to throw back some relief their way . - VANTEL
That’d be great, especially when you have an idiot for a GM, we’ll see I guess. Eriksson is the obvious choice 100 times out of 100 with two years left. |

I hope for a compliance buyout. Get rid of LE and then you can afford Toffoli and Tanev and Jake. - Retinalz
I am not sure about Tanev. Sounds like he wants full pay. For a guy who gets injured a lot I don't want to pay him 6 mil |

Banning will bring back Tanev as he did with Edler. Should be moving on from both. |

It’s pretty bad when your team has five players who realistically could/should be bought out ................
Eriksson
Baertschi
Beagle
Roussel
Sutter
6+3.3+3+3+4.3 = approximately 20 million dollars of wasted money. |

He isn't worth more than 5 with his injury history. I'd say he signs around 5 for 5 years and we regret years 4 and 5. |

Carol Schram: Saturday's Canucks rewind: Sedins' last home game & Horvat hits in Motown
Canucks fans can look forward to two fun games this weekend on Sportsnet Pacific: a big night for Bo Horvat in Detroit and the Sedins' last home game from two years ago. Also, looking back at when Roberto Luongo almost joined the Toronto Maple Leafs and what Quinn Hughes is up to back in Michigan. - Carol Schram
I could never get into the punk genre, a few tunes here and there but just never really gripped me.
It's too bad you don't have any tinfoil, there are several ways in which to make the meat fall off the bone, but my easiest method is too turn the rib side up on a cutting board, there is a thin membrane that you start to lift at on end, (bit tricky to start, use a thin paring knife or fillet knife) and with a piece of paper towel grab the started piece and the membrane peels right off, this is an important process that really helps with tender ribs.
Next is a shallow baking pan, you can make a sauce with, ketchup, brown sugar (honey) Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, spices...whatever is in the pantry.
Next is too cover the ribs with foil tightly,(you may have to find another store that has it), meat side up, 325 a couple of hours.
Green needs to go to make the Canucks better, trade Leivo, if he is so better than Jake then a second round should be a fair price. |

I have a feeling Barrie and Tanev will swap sweaters this year. Both boys will go home. |

When Sutter is healthy he is worth the money, Baerschi realistically deserved his paycheck when he signed it. He was putting up 15-20 goals, that is what they make(sometimes more). It's too bad a couple concussions ruined him. Roussell was well worth it his first year, and I think next year will be good again. Beagle is definitely a contract we don't need right now. |

We better hope the Seaspan ferries keep running or the islands will be out of goods in a week, maybe two. |

The good thing about Barrie this year is I doubt any team team will pay him more than 4 |

No NHL player on the fourth line “is worth” 4.375 million dollars, that’s a complete and utter waste of money. |

This is his first year on the fourth line and I agree time to move. Who played on his line the last two games? |

we are agreeing way too much these days. i, for one, don't like it. i don't like it at all!
with respect to jake, i think you're right. it's not that you're saying that you want to trade him for the sake of trading him. if i'm correct, you're saying that he is the only real trade chip that will get back a d-man with upside. what you're looking for is a youngish player that may be in the wrong situation. that's how these trades usually go in the league. one player in the wrong situation for another similar type player. the question is: is jake who he has shown to be or is he the power forward that he was drafted to be? you've answered the question (for yourself.) there's nothing wrong in exploring his value. no one is saying trade him for whatever you can get.
the other wastes of roster/cap space won't get you anything or anything of real value.
that's why i say that i don't want to trade jake but he's the starting piece in a trade to see what's out there. if the return is worth it, you do it (cliche but true.) |

VAN’s top PP wasn’t perfect, but they’re a group with a median age of 22.8 and landed 4th in conversion rate in the league.
There’s a ton to like about what they’ve already accomplished and the potential they have as a unit moving forward. |

So what? a Player hitting 14 in 53 games, 18 goals in 68 games the year before, and 15 in 69 the year before could reasonably hit 20 in a full 82(possibly more). That is what an agent will focus on. In the first year of this contract he was on pace for 28 goals before the concussion. The contract is what the market demanded for him and he got it. He was also looking like he would be well worth the contract before his brain turned to mush. |

and hopefully genius benning dazzles another gm with these stats and goals per minute played. it's not like he's trading hall for larsen. |
