I used me as an example. Replace me with someone more important than me on the front lines, say a nurse working with covid patients. I agree with this, grocery store workers here in Canada are getting an extra 2 dollars an hour but our nurses haven’t gotten a pay raise yet.

I could be making $750 on unemployment or making $650 working 30hrs a week and be able to take a free meal home 5 days a week.

They are unionized. My girlfriend just started so she is working part time.

Her mother is full time at a private hospital.

Full time is 48 hours a week and they have base salaries that increase with years of service.

I’m not sure if that helps answer the question or not but that’s all the info I got for now.

There are roughly 3 million RNs in the US, let's say 2 million work in a hospital, that's $50B. And that's just RNs, what about orderlies and all the doctors that don't make $200K?
